Excellent, fantastic and very welcoming. In the center of the citadel, good breakfast and panoramic views. Surroundings and very interesting nearby towns. El lugar es fantástico, el hotel está situado en la misma Ciudadela de la fortaleza. Las vistas son preciosas. Recomendable.

The hilltop town of Monsaraz is very unique. The fortress at one end of the high hill can be seen from miles away. When you drive up to the walls there is a place to park your car and then you can walk through this magical town. We were there in early Jan so there were not many people there...

Quite simply everything about the guest house is amazing. The town of Monsaraz is the most gorgeous little town and is not, like another review states, a tourist trap! It is quaint, peaceful and has only a handful of restaurants and shops, none of which pedal tourist tat. Every aspect about the stay at the guest house was absolutely fantastic....

I went with two friends to Monsaraz and we couldn't expect a better place to stay! We felt completely confortable and relaxed in our accomodation, it was very clean and with good service. Everyone was extremely nice, great breakfast, and the view from the terrace, well, simply astounding. You can enjoy it while having a therapeutic massage in the pool,...

Wonderful location, comfortable, great host. Enjoyed the breakfast, the views, everything. The host was great and quite helpful, knows English, Spanish, probably other languages. Beds were comfortable and room was clean. There were some renovations going on and I suspect the results will be lovely--it was not bothersome to us.

We booked here on recommendation of a friend who'd been before. My wife had asked for the best room in the house and we specifically requested a twin as most hotel doubles are too small for us. We'd therefore reserved the "junior suite" as were were promised it had two beds. What were offered however was a charming (but small!)...

We had two rooms, 6 & 7, off the patio with a terrace above. If the sun had been shining, the wind gentler and it had been more than 11 degrees we would have made much more of it! The room were very comfortable with good views and the breakfast was good. Wifi was good in the main area but...

The hotel is very cosy, beautiful and clean. Unfortunately we only stayed there 1 night and didn't have a chance to use all the facilities. But we did have time for the delicious breakfast - home-made, fresh and yummy. The reason I gave 4 starts and not 5 was a funny smell in the rooms...not a big issue at all...

Our friends booked the room for us so we did not look into the ratings prior. The staff and manager, Felipe were wonderful. We sat on the patio (with a fantastic view) each morning for the breakfast that was provided--homemade breakfast cake, jam, cheese, ham, toast, fresh squeezed orange juice, coffee. The down side--the room was small and crowded. The...
