What a wonderful homey b and b. The innkeepers put their hearts into every detail. From the delicious breakfasts to the immaculately clean bedrooms this bucolic setting lends itself to a restful and very enjoyable stay while visiting wine country along the Katy.

We checked in and found this little B and B in Hermann to be exception. Greeted by the owner, he gave us a tour and ended it with our accommodations...the little house (Das Klein haus). This quaint, but welcoming cottage has an exceptional shower. Only negative was the bed was small (obviously based on the size of the cottage) and...

Carlos didn't tell me where we were going. Just to pack a bag. We would be home Monday. So off we go. In the car for an hour and we pull into the cutest little historic town. Herman, MO. We walked around to a few little antique shops and had lunch. We were worn out! Time to go check in...

If you're planning a trip to Hermann, be sure to check Alpenhorn Gasthaus for availability before anywhere else in town. The innkeepers, Adrian and Kate, will make sure you have the best possible stay. The inn is a piece of historical treasure and the grounds gorgeous. Breakfast is unbelievably delicious. Kate's cooking is like that you'd receive at a five...

Stayed here over the weekend to bike the Katy Trail. Nice experience; hosts are very accommodating. Das Kleine Haus was small but no complaints. Spent time on the patio outside room morning and evening. Nice surprise was how good the food was for breakfast. They make a real effort to do more than the usual American breakfast. You're about three...

We did not stay at the Alpenhorn, but decided to try the chocolate rendezvous offered after dinner. It was fantastic. The homemade chocolates were amazing, as well as a great selection of ports. Adrian was an excellent host, and we really enjoyed talking to him and learning about the town. The wine cellar was one of the most beautiful that...

We rented the entire place for a family wedding and were not disappointed. The landscaping is immaculate, the owners are nice but not " in your face." I highly recommend the port tasting in the wine cellar. A unique event! Breakfast was as good as everyone says.

We were riding the Katy Trail across Missouri and stayed at The Alpenhorn Gasthaus one night. We have not yet stayed in a better B&B. Adrian and Kate are the best hosts. Our bike trip was sidetracked by weather, and we arrived in Hermann by train. Adrian picked us up at the station. That was a welcome start to our...

This is a beautifully restored home with lovely furnishings and landscaping. Incredible food! The owners are gracious and friendly but they also respect your privacy. They were very helpful and made several spot-on recommendations. We will stay there again!
