Hotel's Favourite
They say this is the biggest hotel in Columbia and they should surely add the best hotel in Columbia, too. It really is fabulous — starting with the Hilton VIP treatment from Dwight on the Front Desk who worked with us on our arrival time to get us the most perfect room. That was also thanks to Lois and Cynthia, with whom we corresponded in making our reservation weeks earlier. The room was the Parlor Suite, which was massive with a wet-bar, jacuzzi tub, separate shower, even an extra half-toilet. The windows do not open but the view from the 4th/top floor was breathtaking. Housekeeping could not have been friendlier, happy to provide you with whatever extras you needed. There was complimentary coffee in the lobby and the famous HGI breakfast is $15.95 per guest (Diamond members are given a $20 credit toward this). A very enjoyable stay — made memorable by Hilton hospitality experts like Dwight, Lois and Cynthia.

When I travel to Columbia once per year to meet my team for dinner, this is my go too hotel. Clean refresh in the lobby, rooms are clean and comfortable. The breakfast was very nice for $10 including eggs, bacon or sausage and potatoes plus coffee (kudos to the server the morning of 9/23). What surprised me was not being acknowledged as a Hilton honors Gold member (they always ensured you were recognized previously), no offer of bottled water and none in the room. I had stopped for water and glad I did otherwise. Digital key was not delivering per the front desk to a lot of rooms. I'll continue to stay here as I really like the location but time to step it up a bit Hilton.

This hotel is not right on the expressway so there is absolutely no highway noise. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Located next door to a Bass Pro Shop. The restaurant staff were also friendly and helpful. The grilled chicken was very good, but was a small portion.

Columbia was holding a wemo basketball tournament so our team coach called and made reservations with the hotel for the whole team and families to stay here. After the game coach bought 8 pizzas for the boys to eat and we bought some outside food and brought back to eat while the boys ate their pizza. We were greeted by Kyle the manager hey proceeded to tell us that we could not have outside food in their hotel unless we ate in our room. Kyle would not allow the boys to sit at a table in their restaurant, which there was only four tables being used the rest were open. In fact, they would not let them sit anywhere in the lounge and eat they said we would have to leave outside food. After Kyle told us if two other gentleman walked in with food and they told them as long as they were eating it they were fine. We asked them if we could use another spot in the back and Kyle told us yes and we asked if they could supply us with chairs and kyle told us no! He was not willing to work with us at all. Our options were to leave with the outside food or go back to our room. They jacked their prices up for this tournament two nights was over $500 and this is the way we got treated.!! Would not recommend bringing a group here!

I really wish I was making this up because it is just absolutely wild. The exterior and lobby area was very nice and well kept, and the front desk staff was very friendly I will say that.. BUT, when we first walked into our room we set our things down and I went into the bathroom, opened the toilet seat, and there was a giant dump in the toilet that had obviously been there a while… called the front desk, they switch us to the room right next door… Not even a few hours later my husband and I are laying in bed and see something on the wall… IT WAS A ROACH… I’m sorry but for $200 a night I don’t think I should have had the experience I did.

I travel all of the time for work. This time in particular I was traveling across country with my brother and his dog. Mind you we had been driving for 13 hours extremely tired and I booked the hotel online. When I went to check in I informed them that I was traveling with a dog and my brother. They asked what floor would I prefer I said the first if possible because we have a dog who has a medical condition. I then confirmed it would be a double room, the guy said no this is a king bedroom. I asked if we could do a double as I am traveling with my brother and it would be weird to sleep in the same bed. Then then rudely told me that well you booked through a third party and this is non refundable. I then asked again is there any way we can do a double we have been traveling all day I am a Hilton’s rewards member. The lady standing next to the guy I was checking in with said no you booked it through a third party there’s nothing we can do for you. Then they told me again regardless this is non refundable and I would still be charged but the only option I have is to book a double room with them and I would have to call the third party to try to get a refund through them as I will still be charged for the room regardless if i do not stay. I have never been treated so poorly or rude at this Hilton location. If you are traveling and think your checkin process will be smooth and easy it most likely will not be due to how rude the check in staff is on top of the customer service. Horrible experience!

The hotel was very clean. The staff was very nice and accommodating to our needs. The restaurant had great food and very friendly staff. Jewelz was an awesome waitress and treated us good. The front desk gentleman was very accommodating to us as we were stuck there during a snow storm and they made sure they had room for us to stay an extra night. Definitely a place I would go back to and definitely a place a would recommend to stay at.

We stayed for one night enroute heading to Chicago from Kansas City. The Garmin Directions was a bit unusual coming from that direction- seemingly several miles of wandering servic roads.
The check in staff was very friendly. The room we stayed in was super clean with good lighting in the bathroom. The decor was comfortably up to date and the bed was the firm, and we enjoyed a great night sleep.
Hot breakfast served by a lovely lady, Kenzies, (remarked by my wife) was exactly as we ordered and welcomed.
The hotel was next to the local convention building which was unoccupied during our one night stay, so parking was plentiful. We did asked why the parking spaces for Diamond members was furthest from reception. We didn't park there, but did notice there was trees and shading at those spots.
We enjoyed our quiet one night stay.

We booked a 1Br king suite several months in advance to accommodate 4. We arrived only to be informed they and I don’t overbooked and our room was not available. Instead they could only be offer a single room with one queen size bed and a rollaway bed. What else could we do? Every hotel in the area is completely booked for the homecoming weekend and we figured we could at least give it a try instead of sleeping in our car as an alternative. We arrived in the room and to our surprise the rollaway bed was something I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy. The mattress was nothing but springs covered with some fabric. I spoke with the front desk and shared the same pictures as attached here and asked if there was any better options for a mattress as this would be worse than sleeping on the floor. Their response was this was the only thing they could offer. I let them know this was not what I would expect from Hilton but I would be sharing my experience with as many others as possible to prevent them from suffering the same consequences from booking with them in the future. I asked for them to have their Manager contact me the following morning since one was not on duty that evening. We’ll see if there is any follow up but needless to say my opinion of Hilton hotels has changed. I don’t believe I will consider booking with them. Completely unacceptable for any hotel, especially a Hilton.

Very nice rooms, clean corridors and lobby. Fitness room needs more machines that work. Breakfast was not served early enough for me to eat, so I grabbed a banana each morning for breakfast. The initial charge was $80 more than actually owed. I didn’t care for that at all.
