We had a great stay the Tiger Hotel. The lobby area is swanky & luxurious & overall had a great feel to it. We luckily were upgraded to a suite & it was amazing! The room was spacious, well kept, and very clean. The bed and pillows were very comfortable.
The location was great - walkable to downtown restaurants and attractions. We had dinner at the attached Glenn's Cafe and it was wonderful. Wish we would have had time time to checkout the Vault too.
Wish we could have stayed longer!

The Tiger Hotel is a very nicely remodeled historic hotel (1928) with plenty of boutique charm to make any stay feel special. Location is spectacular especially if your trip is focused around the University of Missouri. Rooms spacious, very clean and large. Extended a football trip a second night to enjoy Columbia so as expected the rooms were very pricey. First, there is no hotel parking other than a public lot across the street (pay lot). Valet charge was $18 a night and unfortunately at times there was not a valet attendant on site. There is NO turndown service unless you have it notified on the door by 7am (who in the world would get out of bed early to make this notification). It was noted as a convenience for housekeeping. The safe in the room was not operable and food trays were left in public spaces for multiple days. The restaurants were nice if convenience was necessary. I appreciated Twain was fully committed to Missouri food and spirits and evening was made special by the bartender. With all this said we would give The Tiger Hotel another chance in hopes that they step up and watch the small details and live up to the luxury claim.

This hotel is simply the best hotel in Columbia. It is in a great location and it has been nicely updated since it was originally built. But most importantly, the staff here is simply amazing. I booked 2 rooms at approximately 5 pm because a family member had a medical emergency and had to go to the local hospital. Booking that late in the day meant there would be no cancellation (at least free cancellation), something I absolutely knew and understood when booking. Sadly, our family member passed away that evening and the family decided they would all rather return home. I called Tiger Hotel in the hopes that they might refund some of the fee or give us a credit since we were not staying (but, again, I knew the terms of the purchase when I booked). They were deeply sympathetic to our situation and were kind enough to issue a full refund. Something we will never forget and something that will cause us to always stay at The Tiger Hotel every time we travel to Columbia.

We stay at this hotel every year when we visit but I think we'll try the Broadway next. The hotel is pretty, it's in a perfect location, parking is fairly easy (except the height doesn't fit our truck in the garage so we have to find it on the street). The restaurant and bar in the hotel are great... One issue is that it's old and regularly things do not work. On previous trips it's been the elevator. This trip it was the air conditioner. For an entire weekend we couldn't get our room cooler than 79 degrees. We asked about it multiple times but unfortunately the desk folks can't do anything if it's broken. The restaurant had the same issue so we ate breakfast sweating lol. Unfortunately sleeping in heat doesn't work when we're paying $300+ / night for a suite.

This Hotel is "Fantastic" everything one could ask for, Boutique Hotel with great views of downtown, Valet Parking (self parking available), Staff is "Exceptional", Rooms Large and very Clean, Large Bathrooms with Deep Soaker Tubs and separate Showers, Restaurant off lobby a local favorite (Glenn's), located downtown Columbia Missouri, lots of Shopping and many Great Restaurant's and Bars within walking distance. I have stayed here several times and I believe this is the #1 hotel in central Missouri, far better than the Broadway Hotel if you are looking downtown. This is a Five Star Hotel which I highly recommend to my friends. We love the King Suites. (Stayed 3 nights, March 1st 2024).

This hotel lacks some basics that even Budget hotels provide. For example, there is no coffee or tea available. The restaurant downstairs does not open until 8 so if you have a 9 am meeting there's no way you can eat first.
Most Budget hotels will have coffee and tea available in the lobby 24 seven but coffee at least from 6 to 8 am is expected in any hotel. There is a micro Keurig in the room with a few paper cups, which is less than one cup per day per person while we are here for two people. There is no tea in the room. There is no microwave to heat food. There is no laundry on premise, and we were first told that they would do our laundry for us but then we were told that that was a mistake and we had to go to a laundromat and do it ourselves.
The workout room is incomplete disrepair. The equipment is old and dirty and the machine I wanted to use was broken.
I made the reservation and asked for a high room and instead got a lower room. We have the view of a rooftop which is horrible and our windows are so filthy. The hotel is not full and we are midweek first time guests, why the horrible view? The windows are also splattered with dirty water spots.
The shower gel in the bath room was almost empty when we got here so I asked for an extra bar of soap for the shower. The shampoo and conditioner are less than half full. I think when a guest is coming for four nights, all of the toiletries should be full and not one of them was even half full. The tissues were also almost empty and I had to get more.
The staff is extremely courteous and friendly. Even if they can't help, they are very nice about explaining why. They do seem overworked and understaffed at times. They don't seem well trained in certain aspects. For example, while enjoying a quiet meal at Glenn's a prospective employee came to fill out an application. Even though the restaurant was empty, it was odd she was asked to sit next to me while I was eating to fill out her application.
These are all management issues that I hope you rectify.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Tiger Hotel. We love historic hotels, and while The Tiger does a good job of keeping some of the historic charm in its lobby, the rooms are completely modern. Our room had a good view of the city. Window shades are power controlled at bedside - very cool! Jacuzzi tub is ultra modern and large enough for two), and in addition to the tub there is a full shower. Bed and pillows comfortable. There is no breakfast included, which was a little disappointing considering the cost. Love Coffee is a great little coffee shop attached to the street side of The Tiger. The one complaint I would have is the $75 "Incidental Fee". Not complaining about the charge, as they removed it as soon as we checked out, but that they did not tell us about it. So we had to question them about it. It could have just been mentioned at check-in.

This hotel was first rate in many aspects from the interior of the lobby to the elevator to the room. The hotel is old but very updated , the room had plenty of space and everything from beds to bathroom were very nice. A minor dislike was the room refrigerator was filled to the brim with high priced drinks they were trying to sell, no room for drinks we had brought with us. Glenn's cafe was also first rate and the food and service were very good. I have stayed in many hotels in Columbia over the years and this is the best in my view.

We travel extensively and internationally. This stay was in the top one percent!
Going to Columbia MO for a wedding. This hotel is perfectly situated near university of Missouri Columbia (Mizzou) The area is safe and vibrant with tons of restaurants and coffee shops. The hotel is beautiful and historic and the rooms were large and had all you would need for a stay. Hallways were short and quiet. Elevator was old but there were two and I never waited too long.
Water (Carbonated or filtered) and ice machine on two. Also a first floor coffee shops is under construction and there is the Glenn cafe which i didn’t use but it looked great.
I needed a couple of collar stays and the nearby Binghams clothing store helped me out in a pinch. Can recommend their shop as well
The hotel is awesome. Newly renovated. The staff was great. Thomas at the front desk was a great professional. The valet was a gem as well. I think they are all college students.
There are two EV charging spots that the valet can connect to and that made the say perfect. Otherwise there is a parking garage across the street.
I would go there next time I’m in town

Overall we had a nice stay at Tiger Hotel. The good: we had a nice corner room with great views. The room was clean, spacious, and nice extras like automatically switched window blinds, Keurig coffee maker with Starbucks KCups. The front desk folks were friendly and helpful. The location is fantastic. The parking garage across the street, usually $5 a day, never charged us as we came and went. The not-so-good: If television watching and sports on TV is important to you, come prepared with an HDMI cable and laptop. The TV signal and picture is terrible! Only analog signals and NO ESPN!! Truly the worse television experience in a hotel we have ever experienced. The shower was not very good and the plumbing did not seem properly attached behind the wall (the tub spout, shower head, and shower valve all moved quite a bit). We were disappointed that the bed was not made....we called front desk and they said it was due to the Covid (for crying out loud). We did like our sort of fancy stay better than The Broadway, and will likely stay there again (but prepared for the awful television deal)
