This was the second unfamiliar Red Roof Inn property I stayed at on this trip and was again disappointed. I have been staying at Red Roof Inns for nearly twenty years due to their generous pet policy, as a rule I am always satisfied. There seems to be an ongoing issue with house keeping, leaving rooms unacceptably clean, particularly bathrooms. There were not a lot of amenities in the immediate area, though some within a short drive. There appeared to be underlying issues going on onsite. I would look for an alternative to this should I ever come through Columbia again.

I booked this room for someone else, and Tricia was very accommodating. They had come from another motel close by where they had a bad experience. They were happy to find a room at Red Roof! I think Tricia deserves a raise ;)

I was actually pleasantly surprised with my room here during Mizzou's 2018 Homecoming weekend. I had never stayed at a Red Roof Inn before and I tend to be leery of room doors that lead directly to an outside walkway, but I wound up feeling safe and secure. The room was clean and had no particular smell to notice, so I was happy with that. All of the plumbing worked fine so I had no complaints there. I was happy that I brought my own linens because that certainly enhanced my comfort level during my two-night stay.

We booked this hotel for Parents Weekend at Mizzou. We paid $216 for 3 nights thru Expedia. When we arrived they advised us that their “system was down” and they could not check us in, so we should cancel our reservation through Expedia and they would swipe our card themselves at what I am sure would be a much higher rate since the cheapest hotel we could find was $189 PER NIGHT! The next guest after us received the same treatment. Expedia graciously cancelled our reservation and issued us a full refund. The lobby was filthy and the buildings looked dingy and in need of maintenance. DO NOT STAY HERE!

I knew something was amiss when my room wasn’t available because it hadn’t been cleaned- front desk lady told housekeeper she’d already had to give two refunds, the housekeeper said she didn’t have towels and the ones she did have were gross (said all in front of me). Upon entering the room, one bed had sheets pulled down, tub was disgusting and toilet didn’t flush. No one picked up the front desk phone when I tried to call and it being night time I definitely wasn’t leaving my room (seemed like a drug hotel due to people in parking lot all night and their “no visitor” policy). Wish I would have read the reviews before booking on Priceline.

This is by far the worst hotel I’ve ever had the displeasure of setting foot in! We had book a room weeks in advance to attend a football game at U of M. When we arrived to check in, after traveling 1,600 miles to get there, we were met with “can’t check you in because our system is down”!!! Blood ran hot and we were force to cancel the reservation, go down the street and pay four times as much for a place to stay! This place should be shut down for lack of management skills!!! Terrible, rude, and filthy!

The Red Roof in Columbia is a tidy little place where I got "cheap sleep". The parking lot was lit up like a car dealership all through the night adding a fair amount security by keeping the bad guys away. I didn't partake of any amenities (or know if there are any). I came, I slept, I left. The internet connection was good. I asked to buy a hanger for a shirt I had ironed and the desk clerk gave me a couple of plastic ones she had (not the Red Roof hangers from a room). You're going to pay $45 to $50 bucks for a cheap room anywhere you go. This didn't feel like a cheap room. It was an reasonably priced room that was better than I expected.

This place is horrible. The pictures that you see are not reflective of the rooms. They are filthy, stinky, and I can't even describe how gross I felt just stepping into that room. My clothes smelled like that stench all day long. The floors are laminate, the walls are - I'm unsure, the lighting is something out of a horror movie. The towels and sheets and pillowcases are a low shade of yellow. We weren't in there 5 minutes and went back to the front desk asked for our money back and she refused. It is owned by a turban wearing fellow - franchisee - who sets the rules. Absolutely the grossest place I have ever stepped foot into.

The staff of this hotel really show they care about the up keep of the hotel. They have really been doing some great things to make the hotel be more inviting for travelers. They have planted flowers all over the property. Can really tell they care about you and how you feel on their property. Makes you feel safe.

I was eager to stay at this location due to the price and my previous good experiences with Red Roof Inn. This was anything but; you get what you pay for. Upon arrival (6pm), the lobby is locked and you must interact with the staff through a small window. Two young women were behind the counter. One immediately went into the back room, only leaving one at the counter. She was extremely hard to hear and took an inordinate amount of time to find my booking and check me in. While checking me in, she took numerous phone calls to make reservations. I had been on the road all day and just wanted to get into my room. When finally given the key, I was not told how to find my room. Upon entering the room, it was musty, I found part of the wall behind the toilet missing, a red substance on the bathroom door, and several strands of hair in either bed. If I hadn't been so tired, I would have immediately left.

This place is only good for an overnight stop! I stopped here with my dogs on the way to Kansas and will never stay again. The area is not good and the rooms were not clean, Staff was unprofessional. I would try to find somewhere else!
