Check in was quick and easy. The desk clerk was awesome. Our room was clean and beds comfortable The guest laundry was nice, the washers were $2 a load with free dryers although one dryer was broken. The room door had to be pulled shut or it wouldn’t latch and the bathroom door would shut but couldn’t be pulled enough to latch. The shower water pressure good. We can’t comment on breakfast as we decided not to eat there went next door to Cracker Barrel

Certain updates to this hotel upped my rating, but was surprised overall that our experience at a Marriott affiliated hotel was like this one. Did the mobile ck in which makes getting in after a long drive easier and quicker. Once we got to the desk, lady saw we did mobile ck in so she handed us 1 key and pointed us to the elevator. Had to ask what time breakfast started. Normally one gets lengthy explanation on locations and times to eat, etc. Upon arriving to our room the door was open and all the lights were on. Had to go in and be sure no one was already occupying the room before we took our bags in. Room was very small. Being a Titanium Elite member we were quite shocked we weren't upgraded or given a top floor room. Bed was comfy, shower was nice, big screen TV, and a Kcup coffee maker were big positives. Negatives: room very cramped, tv blocked the mirror, not many accessible plugs, old curtains on windows that gaped open letting in light ( had to use the old hanger trick to keep them closed), large crack in door that let in light all night, last but not least, if anyone wants to prove there's a Bigfoot, go to the floor above us cuz he was in there all night. Breakfast was the worst we've seen. Eggs had water in them, oatmeal was congealed, bananas were sticky when you picked them up, only 3 containers of yogurt in fridge. So many times we get greeted at breakfast by whoever is serving. This time, lady strolled out of the back, sat at a table and pulled out her cellphone. After recounting our 16 hr stay, why in the world didn't I give you 1 out of 5?!

I called an hour in advance to confirm the pool was open, friendly woman assured me it was. When we arrived with our small children the man at the front desk told us the heat was out in the room with the pool, we went and saw for ourselves and sure enough it was way to cold for kids. Then the man gave us a room with only a shower (even though he saw my 2 kids) and didn’t warn me.

Be aware, I booked this hotel for Missouri's homecoming weekend months ago and they recently cancelled my reservation due to an "error" in their system. Furthermore, they wouldn't even talk to me but just ignored emails and referred me to the Marriott -1-800 number. I could have made a reservation at any other hotel at the time but now they are all sold out. I guess there is no point to making a reservation, having status at Marriott hotels or staying at this particular location outside of game day weekends if they can just cancel your reservation.

We stayed overnight June 18th...room smelled like mildew and the bed was as hard as a rock. Front desk clerk was very nice and thought the smell would get better once the a/c had time to circulate. Card keys didn't work so the clerk came up and opened the door for us. I went back down and got two more keys and they still didn't work. It is 10:30 and all we want is a shower and bed. After 2 hours the room still smelled...not as bad but like an old sock. Got up at 5am after a terrible night of no sleep. Not the fault of the staff but we should have stayed at the Hampton next door. We stay in a Fairfield in Lakewood CO about 10 days a year and it is wonderful so this hotel needs to really step up their game.

Friendly, helpful, competent front desk; comfy beds and clean rooms…. Can’t ask for much more. But the breakfast was also great and the rates very reasonable. The full size shower with perfect water pressure, full size bottles of shampoo and shower gel to use. (I have enough small bottles thanks, but they were there if you want them) was a great way to start my day.

Do not book here if you want to actually keep your reservation. I booked 11 months in advance for homecoming weekend and a “glitch” overbooked the hotel. They arbitrarily canceled my room, with ZERO notification. I had to find it accidentally while I was in the app. No explanation, no communication, nothing. Absolutely terrible customer service. I spoke with Vinay on the phone and he LIED to me and said that Marriott canceled the room, but Marriott confirmed that the HOTEL canceled the room. They refused to do a single thing and now there are absolutely no rooms in Columbia for homecoming. Obviously. I’m a lifetime Marriott gold member and once my points have been used I will never stay in a Marriott property again. I travel extensively for work. This hotel has destroyed Marriott’s reputation for me and I’m never going back. How can you trust that your reservation will be there when you’re ready to check in? You can’t. Book elsewhere.

I stayed at this Fairfield for work June 22-24 first this property room furniture beat up and scratched the shower had rust in the track in the shower door . But the most disgusting part of my stay went to check out and their was what looked like blood on the black out curtains in many areas . Upon check out I told the front desk clerk he asked if it looked fresh ! Umm I’m didn’t major in CSI in college is what my response was. I notified the GM of the property along with Marriott Corp and have yet to get a response from either one.

Unprofessional. My rooms were booked way ahead of time. I booked a suite and a solo room, I got here and my reservation was completely wrong. They had no suites available for the whole weekend and only had double beds available. A price adjustment was supposed to be applied for accepting the double bed rooms but the adjustment wasn’t added. Streaming services supposed to be available, they weren’t. They sent a “technician” to my room. He didn’t even know how to work the tv and didn’t fix anything.

Lifetime Titanium Elite and will never stay at this property again. This event took place on 11/4 at 10am CST. I called to cancel and the lady at the desk said I could not. I mentioned that I was Lifetime Titanium Elite, and I’ve stayed at the property many times and plan to in the future. She said, “hold on”. She came back on the line after a minute and said that she would not cancel it. I asked for her Manager's name/contact information thinking that’s who she consulted with. She said, "my manager is not here". So then I asked her for the name and contact information for the person who denied it if it wasn’t her Manager. She said, “I don't have to give you that information…you can find it on the internet”. Then, she hung up! I called back and said I’m the guy you just hung up on. I asked her for her name. She said, and I quote, "Don't worry about it". I could not believe what she was saying! I mentioned to her that providing her name to a guest of the property is a basic obligation and that she is not supporting the very basic level of standards required by Marriott. She said, "no I'm not obligated to give you anything...the customer is not always right". I let her know that she was going to be in big trouble if she doesn't cooperate. She said, "I don't care...I'm putting in my 2 weeks notice anyways" and hung up. I called Marriott Customer Service and explained it to the agent. He could not believe it. He cancelled the reservation and asked that I work with him to open up a formal investigation for the property. I did so and look forward to seeing a positive response from the property’s Leadership as to how they’ve modified training for their staff in order to support Marriott’s values.
