Such a great place to stay ! Breakfasts were very nice and substantial. They cook a wonderful 3 course dinner for an excellent price if you organise prior to your stay, which is great if it is too cold to go out to get some dinner or you are too tired after a day of exploring !
Wonderful hosts, Cathy and John made us feel very comfortable in their home and are two lovely, very down to earth people. They make you feel so comfortable you feel like you have known them for years!! We felt so comfortable we wore our slippers to the dining table !!
I wanted them to stay and have dinner with us instead of them serving us our meals then they would retreat into another room.
Due to Covid they host smaller groups so it was wonderful for just our group of 4 (not so good for Cathy and John though!)
Wonderful value for money, thankyou.
Thanks again Cathy and John ( I am still wearing my Glen Innes slippers 😆😆 )

We stayed two nights using the two rooms - one a large king bedroom and the other a good sized queen. This is a beautiful period style farmstay with quality furniture and amenities. Our hosts Cathryn and John made us feel very welcome into their home and did everything possible to help us have a very memorable and comfortable stay. We had full private use of the adjoining living room so it felt like a self contained B&B dwelling. The rooms have a shared ensuite bathroom which worked fine with family using both rooms and each bedroom has its own sink and vanity unit. The breakfasts were wonderful with fruits, cereals, and full cooked meal as well. We even had homemade sausages which wered delicious with home grown eggs and tomatoes! The farmstay is on a beautiful 500 acre property only 15 minutes drive south of Glen Innes on the New England Highway so easy to find and access.
We would definitely stay here again.

Last minute change of plans so we drove into Sharron Farmstay whereJohn & Cathy welcomed us. Beautiful patchworks adorn twin suite beds & Australian paintings cover the walls of their converted family home. We were free to wander the grounds & delighted in seeing one of Johns workshops where he is meticulously building himself another plane - just for fun. We have just finished a full breakfast of fresh rhubarb from the garden & yogurt with a number of other fruit options. Then homemade sausages & fresh eggs, tomatoes & mushrooms & toast. Delicious while we listened to the chooks.

We spent 2 nights with Cathy and John at the farmstay and it was tough to leave! Winter is a great time to go because the real wood fires in the sitting room and one of the bedrooms just make the place so cosy. It was a privilege to see and use all the lovely nik naks in the house - many of which are family heirlooms. Cathy and John couldn't be more hospitable and the food was just fabulous - so worth taking up the option of the 3 course meal in the evening. Would definitely recommend and we will be back!

Had a short but very nice stay here last night. The farmhouse is rustic and very comfortable and surrounded by well kept lawn and gardens. After a long drive, a wine in front of the log fire was a great way to finish our day- or so we thought. Our dinner that was served up by our hosts was faultless. Catherine and John were very friendly and it was lovely sharing their story with us. Had another great meal the next morning which included lots of delicacies homemade by Cath. Would highly recommend.

We stayed 2 nights with Cathy and John on our road trip through New England. We received a warm welcome from the start, arriving after a long drive to a delicious three course home cooked dinner - celery soup, roast lamb and lemon delicious. Breakfast the next day was equally good with eggs, honey and stewed rhubarb from the farm, and homemade preserves.

The rooms were cozy and comfortable with a log fire in the larger bedroom. The property is a working farm with a herd of cows and 60 chickens - my daughter had fun collecting eggs each morning with Cathy - and some friendly working dogs. Weyland was particularly sociable and would go for walks with us in the morning.

The property is only 15 minutes from Glen Innes, where we visited the Australian Standing Stones and went sapphire fossicking. It’s also a good base from which to explore Ben Lomond, Walcha, Waterfall Way, Inverell and Tenterfield.

Cathy and John, thanks for your warm country hospitality, we were sad to leave!

What an incredible experience!! Our time at Sharron Park Farmstay was nothing short of amazing. We had a comfy, spacious and tidy room with ensuite and fireplace to keep us warm. The property and gardens were just gorgeous. John and Cathy were generous and lovely to talk to. They made us a delicious breakfast of 2 courses, complete with antique silverware. John took us on a tour of the farm (on the back of the ute!), where we were able to see baby calfs and their mummas. We also saw some other incredible things in John's workshops (But I won't spoil that for you). If you want a true farm experience with the added comfort of a hotel, then look no further - Sharron Park Farmstay is perfect for you.

We had an amazing 2 night farm stay! Our hosts Cathy & John are amazing, so welcoming and attentive. They made us feel at home in their wonderful home. The home cooked meals, using local produce were delicious and outstanding. We had a lovely warm fire in our King room each night. Cathy and John go out of their way to give each stay a unique experience. We loved the decor and the table settings. Always such attention to detail. Great suggestions for things to do and places to explore. Highly recommend this farm stay.

From the time we pulled into the driveway we loved the look of the old farmhouse...Cathy and John are amazing hosts and we were so glad we ordered the 3 course home cooked meal for dinner! It was outstanding ...all home grown including the meat....photos attached. Our rooms were spacious with comfy beds and pillows, covered with stunning hand made patchwork quilts made by Cathy. The hand basins were in the bedrooms and we shared a joined ensuite shower and toilet. The shower had great water pressure which is a plus and the wifi is strong. This working farm has a large chook pen apart from their cattle herd and a gorgeous black cat called Whitby. It also has 2 runways on the property which means you can arrive by small plane which is a unique feature! John cooked an amazing breakfast ...again all home grown...including his own sausages which were very tasty ( more photos attached). Lots of amazing old antique silver kitchenware and wooden furnishings including a cedar commode chair. We would highly recommend Sharron Farm stay for couples and families.
