We are truly sorry that you experienced some difficulties during your stay. I would like to apologize for some of the challenges you encountered and for some of the confusion that occurred due to the standards of service that are different in our brand from what you may experience in the Netherlands and Europe. We did receive your email while you were here on property and we did try to contact you, I truly wish we would have been able to meet in person. I do apologize that upon your arrival, late in the evening, our team member was busy in another part of the lobby. At night we have our overnight staff help our morning team by getting the breakfast area clean and ready for breakfast service. I am sorry for the delay this caused. The young man that checked you in, does have a heavier local accent so I am sorry if that made conversing difficult. You noted that we do not have a coat rack in the room. It is not common for our hotels to have coat racks, we do have a closet with hangers for this purpose. Other areas of confusion from your comments it that you are correct we do a complete full service on the 5th day of your stay, this is part of our “Green Initiative” and this is a similar common practice that is provide most all major hotel brands in the United States. If guest request to have bed linen changed daily, we are always happy to comply with our guests wishes. I also know there was some confusion about requesting housekeeping services by noon, this notice was given on Christmas Eve to guests that were staying over on Christmas Day only. We always want to provide our guest the services they want but on Christmas Day we try to give as may or our team members a shorter work day or give them the day off. I am sorry that if you confused this message thinking that this was for every day of your stay. In addition, you mentioned changes to the breakfast menu. You are correct that a few item change and/or rotate depending on the day of the week. Cut fruit is offered Monday through Friday and only whole fruit is available on the weekend. There are other items that change throughout the week as well in order to give our guest variety to their breakfast experience. Lastly, I am happy that you extended your stay, but you mentioned challenges with extending your reservation in the suite and the rate that was quoted. Our prices and availability may change daily or even multiple times a day based upon demand. I do know that you were in a suite and we sold out of suites throughout the weekend prior to New Year’s Eve as well as New Year’s Eve. At the time you discussed availability with our Front Office team, I am confident that they were giving you accurate information that was provided to them at that time. We are always willing to work with our guests to extend their visit provided that we are not displacing another existing reservation. I am sorry you had some challenges and as stated at the beginning of this note, we tried to repeatedly to reach you in person and left you messages in your room. Well above average for hotels in this space. The sleep quality is very good. The manager’s reception is very nice. Bonefish on site is excellent. Lots of shopping near by makes for an excellent location.
