Why can't all B&Bs be like this one! Stayed one night last night and couldn't have wished for a better stay. Ask for room 2 it has a view of the sea and is a good size. The rooms have everything you need and are extremely clean - something I look for when choosing a B&B. There is a good...

We book a room for months. By visiting Exmoor, I had a health accident stroke or malfunction of the heart? with a road accident. We could just discover the beautiful room and the beautiful view it offered. This incident requires a stay in a hurry in Taunton hospital. When I left the hospital, I brought the room key and paid...

We have just come back from a 3 nights stay at Cedar House, the house is beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. The Views from our windows were stunning, the wildlife we saw about the large gardens added to the delightful stay here. We thoroughly recommend you stay here if you are in the area.

What a lovely place to stay. Calm, quiet, prettily decorated with fantastic views. I had a single room which was unusually spacious with its own bathroom, lovely linens and cushions. Exceptionally clean and spry. Good array of information leaflets in the room. I had three windows overlooking the rear of the property and orchard beyond with birdlife galore and rabbits...

A lovely building, outstanding views and a warm welcome awaits you on your arrival at Cedar House. The interior of the house including the bedroom we stayed in is very tastefully decorated with the colour scheme adding to a relaxing feel. There is complimentary tea, coffee, water, biscuits and chocolates on offer which are replenished as if by magic! Good...

In agreement with other reviews this is a beautiful place to stay and top marks for rooms, food, decor, courtesy tray and chocs, and especially to hosts. One thing negative, tinned mushrooms, not fresh, but didn't,t detract from a very good stay. Would stay there again.

We chose Cedar House because of the reviews that we had seen on trip Advisor and were not disappointed. The breakfast with local produce and home made jams was extremely good. The room was lovely, very comfortable and the views from the 2 windows were beautiful. If you want to stay in the country in a lovely house with wonderful...

Wow, what an amazing little place in Somerset! We chose Cedar House after we got a voucher from Buyagift and it really was a great choice. Mel's hospitality is second to none, she was fantastic from the moment we arrived and fresh coffee was bought to our room on arrival. The rooms are immaculate, the food outstanding- nothing was too...

My husband and I have just returned from a 2 night stay at Cedar House and would highly recommend it to anyone, we stayed in room 2 and the outlook from the windows is beautiful, the room itself is excellent, very pretty and very comfortable, the bed is so comfy that I had 2 nights with no snorring from my...

We stayed at Cedar House for two nights as a gift from our children. I could list everything that's excellent about this B&B but think its easier to say it is faultless. I couldn't find a single fault from the moment we arrived with a welcoming brew on the front lawn till the final farewell, excellent. I was trying to...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Cedar House is a fine Edwardian gentleman's residence set in it's own grounds. The house has some of the most stunning, uninterrupted views in the area - overlooking Exmoor, the Brendon Hills, the Coast and Wales beyond. The steam engines of the West Somerset Railway passing by, the starry nights and some wonderful sunsets all add to the magical setting. It is the ideal base for exploring the area, Dunster Castle, the quaint villages and wonderful village pubs. After a peaceful night's sleep, get the day off to a great start with a full Somerset breakfast or something else from the extensive breakfast menu. Kay and Eric look forward to welcoming you to their home. ... more   less
