This was a chance find on our last night following a short break exploring Dorset. Great location, lovely room, superb food and friendly and professional service. We particularly enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and beautiful surroundings, a short walk to the sea and very peaceful. Great place to recharge and unwind.

Found quite by accident, whilst visiting the beach. Really well worth a visit. Nice menu and landlord. Very quirky. Unbelievably clean loos. We will be back. Don't tell everyone what a gem this is... Handy as a stepping stone for a visit to the beach..

The Manor, is a quirky old place with a beautiful setting just a few hundred yards from the sea in a very quiet hamlet. Our room was spotlessly clean with a lovely view across a garden to the sea. So what's not to like. Perhaps it was the overcomplicated menu, lots of unnecessary added "cheffy" touches to fish and meat...

This was our second visit to The Manor and we enjoyed it as much as our first. Nice, comfortable rooms, lovely grounds and views of the sea. We loved the Cellar Bar and the 'Secret Garden' - a great outside area that reserved is for the use of guests and those who have pre-booked tables. We were lucky enough to...

We stopped here for drinks, lovely old house with bar in the caller, we sat outside to admire the view. Lovely pot of tea available. I did have a little look about when using the facilities and it looked very nice, a boutique type hotel.

A quaint, 16C Manor House, all steps and passageways but no ghosts that we detected. Excellent food, very friendly and helpful staff. Not for you if you have any mobility issues. Otherwise, almost perfect in a beautiful location. And the weather was glorious!

We went to The Manor for a family Sunday lunch to celebrate our Golden Wedding: a family group of ten people.. It was a truly memorable occasion. Everyone said at the time that their meals were exceptional from the traditional beef and pork Sunday lunches (with ample supply of vegetables) to a crab special. The sausage baguette chosen by our...

Enjoyed a great week in Room 1 which was a large double with four poster and a great view down to Chesil Beach. Food at both breakfast and dinner was great each time. Not great for people who have problems with stairs.

The owner was very accommodating in fitting us in at short notice for an overnight stay and what a real gem of a place. Nice lunch in the garden with a good pint of Otter Beer, with sea views. Chesil beach is less than 5 minutes’ walk away and the sound of crashing ways instantly put you in a state...
