Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Very clean comfortable motel for the price. Comfy beds with great big thick pillows. Obliging staff. Outside seating and very clean pool although the weather was a bit cool to swim. Would stay there again.

This is an older motel that needs a huge renovation. Average price, not close to anything. the rooms were clean but dated. the owner/Staff were friendly and helpful. Iff staying this side of town would recommend finding a place closer to shops and transport.

It is 7days after summers official end and the swimming pool is"Under construction"! Why this was not mentioned on the site when my partner booked I don't know. We wanted to check in, take a swim and chill out. My son was crying about not being able to swim. After a day in the sun, racing BMX even I was looking forward to it. Oh, no offer of a discount or even an apology. Just the response, "I told my boss he needs to be telling people before they get here". K'n spewing! Otherwise the price is right and the local too. Room is outdated but looks pretty clean.

My wife and I stayed at this motel recently because of its somewhat convenient location on the road north, but never again would we make such a mistake. We found it dirty, poorly maintained and ill-equipped compared to other motels in the region. It was terribly dark and gloomy, and the staff seemed uncaring and set in their ways, appearing to only be interested in filling their rooms and not giving a toss about their guests' comfort.

Looks can be deceiving. From the outside you would have second thoughts about staying as it could do with a good clean and tidy up. But I have to say I was pleasantly surprised, we stayed for I night in one of the cheaper rooms and it was very clean and the bed was super comfortable. The shower pressure was great and you even get dispensers in the shower and by the vanity with everything you might require. Aircon worked well, it was 49 degrees outside. If your looking for cheaper accommodation overall you wont be disappointed.

Comfortable bed and clean inviting room. No traffic noise. Small televisions. The refrigerator shelves were missing and the bathroom vanity light wasn't working. Plenty of parking. Nice swimming pool area.

I had booked myself and 2 children in a family room. The first thing we took notice of was the lack of cleaning of the rooms inside and outside. There is a basket filled with empty alcohol cans and bottles. Dirty fingerprinted windows, with miscellaneous furniture outside rooms. Our bathroom and the blankets had obviously been sitting for quite some time, the odour smelt like urine. The shower had soap scums over the place. We ended up wearing thongs in the shower as we felt the floors weren’t cleaned properly. We ended up hearing constant noises from outside and next door. The police had turned up on our last night stay. My 6 year old had also witnessed a couple making out in the pool which speaks a lot in my opinion- due to children swimming in the same pool. I understand that this place is “an affordable and budget motel” however this is not worth a cheap night stay regardless. I am surprised this motel is still running and would definitely recommend NOT STAYING AT PAVLOS! REGARDLESS OF THE PRICE! My 6 year old son called it “a disgusting dirty place” I am glad that we left in one piece with nothing missing. It is obvious that there are drugs being used on the premises as well as the motel being used as a fast in and out motel. I believe the owners are turning a blind eye just to get fast cash. Take it from a person who has experienced this motel don’t take the risk, cause you won’t be given a refund.

Unhygienic, run down, broken air con, disgusting condition, unsafe, back door opening onto footpath of side street had not only a broken lock so it couldnt be locked at all but wouldnt even close properly so after numerous scares with random people attempting to enter room uninvited eventually gave up at 3am & left to stay at another hotel. No explanation given or understanding made. Awful.

We needed to attend a business conference in Adelaide, and the Pavlos Motel was close to the conference venue. When we arrived the staff were great, warm and friendly. They were like this for the whole time we stayed here. The room is dated, on the small side, but it's comfortable, generally clean and close to where we needed to be. The cobwebs hanging from the ceiling probably need to go, but everything else was fine. When you're on a budget, you go to a budget motel. We'd stay here again for short term business trips, but if we had to stay for a holiday, then we'd probably increase our budget and stay elsewhere.

Terrible rooms, outdated, smelly, stained carpets and dirty blinds. Complained and was given another room which was just as bad! Asked to cancel the next nights booking as could not stand staying was refused a refund. Something that Gordon Ramsay would review on Hotel Hell!
