I had an unexpected overnight stay in this motel.
The staff was suddenly overwhelmed with requests for rooms late in the evening but coped with it very professionally.
The room was very clean and well presented.
My gripe is that I was told:
“ You will be charged $200 on your credit card just in case you smoke in the room , use the minibar or cause any damage, and it will be refunded if all is OK, however it will take over 5 days for this refund to happen.”
I’m not even sure this is legal.
I was not given the option to accept this, if I didn’t accept this I was going to have to find elsewhere to stay.
I have stayed in many hotels, and never had this occur.
Usually they have my credit card number and my signed authority to take out any additional charges the next day.
I think this type of action is rude , inconsiderate and so if you don’t want your credit card drawn by 200 bucks for over 5 days don’t stay in this place.

The motel is clean, great location to walk easily to the airport, and has long term parking at reasonable rates. The room is comfortable, air conditioning quiet, the bed is comfortable and the shower good. The restaurant is closed indefinitely but Menulog deliver meals.
I would recommend staying here but having said that...we won't be back.
I found Michelle both lovely and helpful on the phone prior to our visit and also during our stay. Unfortunately it wasn't Michelle who greeted us at reception but it was Nives.
When we presented before 1pm I didn't even get the chance to explain that I knew we were too early for check in but wanted to check if and where we could park our car. We had arranged to leave it on site while we were away on holiday. Nives didn't even greet us but simply looked at her watch and the clock, then without any hello, how are you, informed us we were too early and that the room would be ready at 2pm. I asked about the car parking and she just flicked her wrist and pointed sideways and said it's there and to drive around the side street to gain access. After this very ordinary introduction to this motel and whilst waiting for 2pm, we walked to the airport to check out the route for our early departure the next day. I was that annoyed I was tempted to cancel and stay at Atura, however didn't want to throw money away. We did however cancel the long term parking at the motel and parked at the airport. Also as we are arriving back late in Adelaide in a fortnight and need overnight accommodation we have booked at Atura.

Well, you get what you pay for and the Adelaide Airport Motel is a solid, average quality and average value motel, located within easy walking distance of Adelaide Airport (10 minutes). The room I had for a single overnight stay was clean, appointed with the fundamentals and importantly - quiet. The staff service on arrival was friendly and courteous, and the only real downside was that there is no on-site catering as far as a cafe or restaurant is concerned. From the looks of it, it seems that the Adelaide Airport Motel did have a restaurant at one time but its now long closed. Disappointing to say the least. Overall, at around $140 / per night, its a place to sleep for a short stay and as such, can be recommended.

From start to checkout was a total disaster . Arrived after hours with no entry code no instructions on entry . I had to go down a back street on foot that was grass and dirt . Then was instructed to carry my bag up 2 flights of stairs . All the milk in the fridge was off so no coffee , the one only bathroom
Consumable you needed scissor to open . The air conditioner and fan was noisy . The airport shuttle only ran outside my arrival
And departure times so I had to book an Uber and a cab . Not a great experience after a long day at work . I was not given any fresh milk . Just told we don’t argue . No more correspondence . Never staying there again

Day Dreamer, We have been waiting for this review. It never ceases to amaze us how guests are very quick to complain and exaggerate some aspects of the situation. We would like to point out the following: * we advertise that the property does not have a lift & therefore we would expect should a guest require down stairs that they would request this. In this case the guest was relocated to a downstairs room, after a rude, uncalled for complaint about having to go upstairs. *original booking for single bed, guest was moved to a room with a queen bed! * it is clearly advertised that the shuttle only operates 8am - 4pm, therefore it should have been clear that it would not be available at the times the guest arrived and departed. * all the amenities in the bathroom can be opened by ripping the package, scissors are not required. * the disaster from the start was the fact that an invalid credit card had been provided when the booking was made via an Online site, the incorrect arrival time provided - which complicated the reservation * the code for the Key safe was not sent during reception hours as the guest did not complete the required Online checkin. Entry is via the car park, not some back street. We did however, talk the guest through all the instructions regarding the key safe ( a text sent at the same time) We have policy & procedures in place and it all works smoothly when we receive cooperation from guests. Our after hours checkin is used by many travellers and we do not experience problems unless the procedures are not followed. We apologised for 2 milks being out of date, had we known this at the time, they would have been replaced. It is difficult to replace the milk once the guest departs. Guests need to ensure that they read all information provide on the site that is used for the booking. We are not here to be yelled at and abused because the guest has not familiarised themselves with the facility and because they have had a long day at work. Accommodation at 5 sate Hotel may be more suitable in the future!

I'd booked a night here as I'd had a late flight and it was convenient for just the one night. I checked Google Streetview to see how feasible it was to walk from the airport to this motel and it looked like a comfortable 15-20 minutes walk on the screen. However, I'd not anticipated the uneven roadway and footpath surfaces for my two wheelie cases over paved bricks and some sealed but rough surfaces.

The motel offered a shuttle bus from airport for just $8 and I should have taken that. I did on the return trip.

The motel itself was very basic and for the tariff, below standard. There was a dead fly on the bathroom tiled shelf - not a good look to start my stay. The shower curtain was too short so all the shower water spilled onto the floor by the toilet, the bedroom curtains didn't operate properly.

I needed to find the password for the wifi but when I tried the phone in the room to call reception, the cover of the phone fell off and there was no button marked 'reception'. So I had to call from my mobile to ask the passcode. I was told it was located on a sign which I had to peer at for some time before realising it was printed in small white lettering on a yellow background. Do they not want the wifi used ?

On the plus side, the queen bed was most comfortable, the shower was efficient and the shuttle service to the airport was well priced and convenient. For one night, it was adequate but one night would be enough.

We were looked after by Lovely staff in both the reception and the restaurant. The hotel room was quite a normal size. Bathroom a bit dated but the bed made up for it ! Was so comfortable!! Room was Clean. Really nice sheets. The Restaurant was great. Waiter was lovely and the Food was divine very relaxed dining. Our toddler made a mess on the floor dropping stuff and the waiter told us she will clean it up. And was so friendly with our little one. Very professional yet friendly and down to earth.

Hotel very close to Adelaide airport, making it very convenient for sleeping in case you need to catch a plane without wanting to move too much.
The shuttle service is always available; the staff is very helpful and courteous. The rooms are basic, a little small but equipped with what you need for short stays.

Was reasonable, a great location close to the Airport, and very good efficient, friendly service at check in. The rooms are basic but certainly well presented and clean. The Laundry was convenient and a good taxi contact button if leaving early in the morning.

Great place to stay, clean and tidy with the option of leaving your car there if you are flying out. Shuttle to airport which is so convenient. Have used this place 2 or 3 times. There is a charge for leaving your car and also the shuttle these days but thats how times are going.

The have a shuttle bus to take you to the airport that leaves every 30 min (book first to ensure it is not full). If full they run one straight after. Check in is quick and easy (needs room incidentals security credit card number). Checkout is high speed key (card) drop at reception
