Found this place on-line. Thought it was closer to Clarksdale, but it's several miles out. The cabins are probably even less fancy than you might envision. We stayed at Gunny, which is located very nicely near the Rust and the Office, and the bed was quite comfortable, but the furnishing were pretty sparse. You have a coffeemaker, but that's it.... My wife and I spent a couple of nights here in early November for our anniversary. We loved every minute of it. The Pinetop Perkins Shack was perfect. We saw live music on site and ate a great meal at Rust as well. We will be back - with a bunch a friends joining us!

This place may not be everyone's cup of tea but it's pretty clear from their site what it's about and it is as it says on the tin.To us, from England and retired, it lived up to its promise and we loved it - we can't imagine anyone not ...unless it's pink tablecloths, sterilised lavatory seats and obsequious service you... Spent 3 nights in the Sunflower shack. Really nice accommodation. The Good: Front and back porches, Comfortable/well decorated shack with kitchen, good wifi, good AC, near Clarksdale, they lend you guitars!! The Bad: Well, nothing I can say is really bad about this place. Only thing is that the website made it feel like an authentically rustic experience but at... More

Loved our stay. Clarksdale area was cool. Unfortunately, we chose a night without live music at the Inn, but staff directed us to town for some. Clean and comfortable. Allowed us to really relax on the porch and watch the sunset. Hope to return again.

decided to spend our 25th anniversary in the delta. the Inn is awesome...rustic yet modern. got buzzed by cropdusters every morning and saw the "train going to nowhere" every morning...something magical about the delta and the Shack Up Inn plays right into that...we will be going back...we stayed at the "Dogtrot".

I have stayed in Legends shack twice now. The shacks are real sharecropper's homes that were moved to this property and renovated enough to make them comfortable. They are heated and air conditioned and the beds are comfortable, but I wouldn't want to cook in the kitchen. There is a stereo for listening to the blues. There has been a... More

In absolute truth I was disappointed with The Shack Up Inn but that had nothing to do with the place. What the hell am I talking about then and why five stars? Well I was disappointed as we checked in one day after a festival and had to move on one day before the start of another one. So they... More
