We stayed in an ensuite double in the top house, which I can only describe as a little bit of luxury for a backpacker on the Queen Charlotte Track! The hosts are friendly and helpful. The dog and cat also seem to like visitors and are quick to demand fussing over! The kitchen is well equipped, open plan lounge and...

We stayed in several spots on the Queen Charlotte track but this was the best . There were jugs of cold water and juice in the fridge to quench our thirst. The kitchen had everything you could possible need to create a fabulous dinner if we had only known . The detail and standard was really high

What a treat to stay in this beautiful home after our big 25km tramp from Punga Cove. It was perfect for our group of 7 adults, as we hired the entire house for ourselves. The views are stunning. Yes, it is up a steep hill, but it is well worth the walk. The hosts were extremely helpful and we will...

We spend 1 night in portage bay during our completion of the Queen Charlotte Track. We were pleasantly surprised about the spacious set up, and the great views. Sharing big living room, kitchen and terraces with a few other rooms, while we had ourselves a balcony as well. Clean rooms. One minus: there is little room/ no hooks/ chairs to...

Stayed here after two very big walking days on the queen Charlotte track. Brett was a fantastic friendly welcoming host. Our room was lovely, with views of the bay and the best shower I've had in days! They even have beer and wine there so we got to unwind with a few drinks in our balcony without even leaving the...

Doing the Queen Charlotte walk this was our stop at the end of day 3 and what a great place to finish the day. We opted for an ensuite room in the shared house which gave us access to a large open plan kitchen, livening room and dining room with the addition of outside decking to catch the last rays...

We stayed here after a very long and wet days hike on the QCT. We were met by Deb who was lovely and friendly, and shown to our ensuite room in the SC house . It is gorgeous and we did not have to share it with anyone so could totally relax. A full kitchen, lounge and stunning views from...

It was worth the final trek up the hill to Debretts in Portage Bay. It was a toss up between Portage Hotel and Debretts and I am really pleased we opted for the latter. Not only are the views sensational, but the rooms were really impressive and not at all like a backpackers. The hosts were very friendly and the...

After a challenging walk from Portage along the Queen Charlotte Track we were delighted to arrive at Debretts. Our bags had all magically arrived in the house along with our chilly bins and the contents were in the fridge (thank you!). Enjoyed the view out to Kenepuru Sound from the balcony before relaxing in the sofas and around the dinner...
