We stayed for two nights on their special dinner and wine tour offering. Basically this gives you a glass of wine in the garden on arrival, dinner on night one with several different wines and a full day visiting wine producers. We managed to fit in three producers and a visit to the local distillery shop. All very worthwhile and...

This is a really wonderful B&B with lovely hostesses, comfortable rooms, great food and wine, and beautiful grounds. The dinner on the first night's stay was a particular highlight. The wine tasting to match each course was also wonderful. The nearby village of Le Puy Notre Dame is easily accessible and worth exploring on foot.

We stayed in la grande maison for three nights in september, with our dog oscar. michaela and sue (and their dogs) were great hosts, suggesting great areas to visit, and the evening when they cooked a meal (with great wines) for us, was the highlight of our holiday. the visit to the cave under the property was amazing. The room...

We stayed here with another couple for the three night, two day wine tour package and we had a fabulous time! Sue and Micaela are wonderful--friendly, knowledgeable and gracious. The 17th century farmhouse has such character; the breakfasts and dinner as well as wine apperitifs they served were delicious; the walled garden was still beautiful in October; and the sunsets...

We recently spent 3 nights in this bed and breakfast, along with our dog. The location was idyllic and gave us the opportunity to relax and unwind. There were also plenty of surrounding villages to explore. The owners made us feel extremely welcome right from the start and gave us lots of information about the local area. Breakfast was gorgeous...

Went on a recommendation from a good friend. The start of our European honeymoon and what a magical start it was. Based in the rolling vineyards of the Loire valley you will find this magical place, a huge garden and amazing bedrooms what more could we ask for. The Mrs is a fussy veggie and the food was brilliant for...

We stayed at La Grande Maison for four nights and had a great holiday, we stayed in the Mezzanine room which is in the main house, it was ideal for what we needed. Sue and Micaela were lovely hosts, very friendly and knowledgeable about the area so there's no chance of you having nothing to do. We tried the evening...

This year was our seventh (I think) visit for a wine tour. We were joined by our two daughters and husbands and all had a magical few days. We enjoy everything about La Grande Maison it is a retreat, an education and if you like wine a great experience.

It is rare that being quirky actually adds something but it works for this hotel as it is natural and how it is meant to be. We should have guessed as all the directions on the website assume that you will be approaching from the north and we struglled a little coming from th south. The approach is through a...
