The lodge has perfect location because is almost into the beach, you can really see the sea from the rooms and from the restaurant. The bar has parties at weekends, if you don't have the mood for party, don't go to Fatima's Nest. The dormitory and facilities are ok.

The location is killer. Short walk to the market, beach right out front. The staff are pretty nice for the most part and fairly helpful. Kitchen can be slow but the food isnt bad. Pool table and lounge areas are nice at night, but bad pop music is irritating and loud, even when there is nothing going on. Prices are...

Most important thing first: fantastic location on the beach with a balcony and bar overlooking it. This is why I would recommend this place. The food was ok, the drinks reasonably priced. The irritants: wifi between 7pm and 5am, like in Maputo. Why???? This is what backpackers want the most, like it or not. Also, the dorm is a bit...

Good location - right on the beach, but a bit of a stroll to town. Not terribly clean room, nor great value for money or food but lively at night with other guests and travellers from all over town. But the gripe lay elsewhere. When I asked about whale shark snorkelling I was told ('in confidence') that there weren't any...

This place is located right on the beach, with a nice patio overlooking the beach to enjoy some drinks or food. The bungalows are quite basic and have seen better times, but have a mosquito net. Shower does not always have warm water, but one gets used to that. Best time is in the morning. You can cook your own...

The location is GREAT and close to the market, but you excpect a warm sshower for the cost of this place. I stayed here for a week for 2 reasons there was other travelers and it has a great location. The value on the other hand is horrid. The service is slow, arrogant and money driven. The wifi also doesnt...

This is a decent place. If you end up diving with Tofo Scuba you get discounts. It's convenient that the chapa goes right to their door and they are a 5 minutes walk to the dive shop. The diving was excellent. FYI though, it's about 300 mets cheaper to just wait for the chapa back to Maputo on the road...

First time to Tofo, which I must add I fell in love with immediately. Wasn't too sure about our accommodation as we just came from Fatima's in Maputo. The place was actually nothing like Maputo. The most amazing view from the bar/restaurant area. Staff was helpful, not overly friendly but helpful. There is unfortunately only one plug in the room,...

I really enjoyed my time here. It had a really relaxing loung area in the bar although sometimes the barman played music whilst we were sleeping there but that's fair enough. We were a group of divers and we all passed out in that area. It overlooks a beautiful beach and really has good food. We ate there lots. They...

This place is right on the beach with a great bar and friendly staff (special thanks to Tinashi!) There's a few things which need improving through - foremost is the kitchen. There's only 2 plates and barely 2 sets of cutlery. No washing up liquid so all the equipment is super gross. The staff use the kitchen too, which would be...
