Detailed Reviews
Went in for drinks and dinner whilst camping at the showground. The food, was very good! Mainly Australian menu but the Thai beef salad was excellent. The barramundi and calamari were very good too.
The barman ( owner) was very welcoming and, despite being busy, made time to chat and even remembered my friend Ralph’s name when we returned the following night.
Highly recommend the food and service.

During our weekend away we stopped here for lunch... the publican was a great fella!! The food was served promptly & was fresh.
The beer on tap is nice and crisp too, such a nice country pub to visit!
We will definitely return...

My wife & I got married not to far from here at the allyn river ladies well it's gorgeous, we had our reception here at the Beatty 4yrs ago & we return every year to either stay or dine. It's a lovely little country pub the manager Bernie is always friendly & helpful, the rooms are basic but comfy the toilets & showers are shared& the meals are big & tasty, don't expect 5star or even 3star, but you do get a decent bed hot shower, good pub grub & meet plenty of wonderful characters.

Nice hotel in a small town. Expect a long wait for poor food. The shared shower was virtually impossible to adjust to an acceptable temperature, but the room was rather nice. Be careful of the resident dog which has the run of the pub, it can turn nasty, and it is not the sort of dog to run foul of. OK for a one night stay in pub-room accommodation.

Have had a few beers and meals here over the years. Good food and cold beer, handy place to stop for a while and relax on the deck. Can get very busy with different car clubs and is the central point to view the billy cart derby

We love the Hotel Beatty! We've stayed a couple of times in the pub itself and also in the self-catered house next door, which you can book through the pub. Classic country charm, great food and cold beer ... what more could you want!? Staying again tonight to go to Gresford's annual Billy Cart Derby tomorrow. Can't wait! John & Mel Hogan

A great little country pub with reasonably price accomodation and absolutely the best pub food by far. Try the t bone, it hangs over the sides of the plate. Very children friendly with a nice play area behind the pub that can be viewed from the deck or lounge area. Nice in winter with an open fire. Great for a day or an overnight visit, give it a try.

We have been stopping off at the hotel for meal a couple of times a year for the last decade. We have found the food to be consistently excellent over the whole period. The steaks are awesome and beautifully cooked. schnitzels are great as well. We really do recommend this hotel to everybody.

Really disappointed in the lengthy wait for our meals and the poor quality of the food. My husband ordered a chicken snitzel with ABC topping. After 1hr of waiting both of our meals were served with cold chips. The snitzels were almost dehydrated they were that overcooked. Then the avacado chopped into squares on top was that rock hard even a steak knife could barely cut through it. Inedible and really poorly presented. Not what we would expect when paying that price. Would never eat there again after this experience!!!
