Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Lovely quiet spot in the bush. Everything from the tents, bathroom block, kitchen and fire pit area to the food and bar is beautifully designed and thought out. The honesty bar and access to the veggie patch is lovely - feels a bit like staying with friends. Electric blankets in colder months are perfect. We had a very relaxing break!

Property's Favourite Review
This was my first glamping experience and won't be my last. This place is superb and they have thought of everything for an amazing stay. Our bell tent was beautiful, even down to the jar of marshmallows to toast on the fire. Being a light sleeper I was prepared to not have much sleep, but it was the best night's sleep in our 2 weeks trip. The beds are so snuggly and comfortable and sleeping with fresh air instead of a stuffy room was wonderful. The shared bathroom facilities are clean and well though out, down to supplying a hairdryer. The other guests were considerate of others. The common meals area is exceptional and built sympathetic to the bush surroundings. The honesty system meals, wine and platter goodies available are first class. If you have brought your own supplies the cooking facilities are great. We were very lucky and had a beautiful calm, warm evening to sit outside around the fire bucket for the complete bush experience. The staff were very friendly and informative. I loved this experience and would return in a heartbeat! Just do it!

We had the best weekend at the Bush Retreat. From the minute we got there, we were felt an release from the hustle and bustle. I really loved the open community area. We had the pleasure of sitting around the camp fire with the other guests enjoying some great conversation. The options for dinner were amazing and just wish i had a few more nights to try all of the options. Sleeping in a glamping tent was a first for me too. Super warm and cosy and the comfort hit the spot. Thanks Tom and Anna!! You guys rock. Appreciate you both sitting around the fire for a chat. See you again soon.

Wonderful place to stay in the bush. We had a Bell tent, cosy with heaters and electric blankets. Share bathrooms with toiletries. General share kitchen well supplied with utensils and some staples of rice, pasta, tea and coffee you supplement your cooking. There is frozen pre cooked meals, wine, charcuterie supplies on honestly system to pay. You can book set breakfast $25, consisting of toasted cheese sandwich, baked beans with boiled egg, banana bread and small fruit granola yoghurt. Location is beautiful, lots of outdoor sitings, outdoor fire pits. Close to beaches and outdoor walks. Friendly welcoming hosts.

This place was the highlight of our tassie trip.An absolutely beautiful retreat in the bush ten minutes from Binalong Bay or St Helens. Its stunning-well designed and thought out with share shower block(luxurious & clean),communal kitchen(a chefs dream kitchen with everything you need). Also a BBQ and open fire to cook on if you want. A cupboard full of complimentary dry goods/pasta etc and freshly ground coffee/plungers. Shop at St Helens or buy amazing frozen meals on site from the Honesty Bar-write down what you take & pay on check out. Same deal with the wine/beer etc-we tried fantastic quality local wines that you cant buy anywhere. They also have homemade dips, local cheese etc.Everybody came together to cook in the evening(pick your own produce from the veggies garden) and chill by the firepit(complimentary marshmellows provided). We met amazing people and got great advice on places to see-I only wish we stayed longer, I was happy just to sit on the deck with my wine and a good book.Thank you to everyone invoved-it was awesome. The campsite has it all! Comfortable tents (cosy in a cool climate), warm staff and considerate touches make this a fabulous stay. The fully equipped camp kitchen is inviting and even includes gourmet snacks, meals and wine/beer meaning that you just turn up! Breakfast platters are outstanding. Can’t recommend this place highly enough!

The glamping experience was amazing. Alex responded with a phone call to my query before we arrived. The place was fantastic. Clean, great cooking facilities, if you didn’t bring food you could purchase everything from biscuits and dips to meals to be heated and rice or pasta go with the main. Breakfasts was also fantastic. We live sitting around the fire pit and everything was so easy
