We had an overnight stay at Takarakka with friends to visit Carnarvon Gorge. One night is not long enough!! We stayed in an ensuited Takka Tent. The accommodation was fantastic, the tent was spacious enough for two people, very clean and tidy and the bed was very comfortable. It was worth paying the extra for our own ensuite aa the...

A beautiful place to visit, lots to see. The staff at the resort could not have been more helpful or friendly. The facilities were great, we had a very relaxing time. The wildlife are right on your doorstep, and if you want a night off cooking, their roast dinners are definitely the way to go.

What an incredible place to stay. From the staff, the amenities, the wildlife, the scenery. So, so loved it here. We kept extending. Loved the isolation, the bush, yet all mod cons. Except electronic ones. Didn't even try to get wifi. Amazing bird life, I could wax lyrical for hundreds of words. Didn't want to go, my partner really did,...

We had a lovely unpowered tent site under the palm trees for 4 nights, with all the creatures you can imagine wandering freely around. The camp kitchen and bathrooms were clean and well maintained. Each night we enjoyed the fire ring surrounded by kangaroos, wallabies and bettongs, it was just lovely. Phil, the host, was exceptionally helpful and friendly and...

We called in here and spent 2 nights with 2 rigs (powered caravan sites) it is 40kms from the turnoff of the Carnarvon Highway to the Takarakka Bush Resort with the last 15 being gravel road. What an amazing place, from the smile at the desk when we walked in and helpful staff got us off to a great start....

The Cottage was clean, modern and cosy with its fully equipped kitchen and lots of power points available. Even the bathroom had a shower gel, shampoo and conditioner dispenser. The queen bed and fold out bed...

We towed a 23ft van in to the park with no trouble at all. As we were leaving the machinery had arrived to seal the remaining eleven k's. what a beautiful place, abundant with wild life, plenty of platypus in the stream that runs through the park and the flora of the gorge will blow your mind. You will need...

Stayed 3 nights - please note: all studio cabins have a double bed. Management advised us there are no twin share studio cabins. (We had asked about twin share prior to leaving for Carnarvon & were advised we'd have to do a taka tent if we wanted our own beds. So I asked if a single airbed would fit on...

We were very lucky to have the opportunity to stay here for 4 nights to enjoy the facilities of the park and the walks in the gorge. The park is well set out with a number of different options from cottages, glamping, motor home/van sits as well as camping. There are camp kitchens and dedicated open fire cooking areas. The...
