I wrote a review of this Bed and Breakfast some years ago and I loved it then. It has only improved since. The place is like an English country estate, with magnificent gardens and swimming pool. The suites have a bedroom and lounge. The bathrooms are spacious with room to put one's toiletries. Coffee, milk and biscuits are provided. The breakfasts are excellent. But best of all are the hosts, John and Kay, who are gracious and helpful. They will book restaurants and even drive their guests to them. They are also ready to provide a delicious meal if one wishes it. One should stay several nights to be able to thoroughly enjoy this beautiful place.

This has been an excellent stay. Lovely location and and a delightful couple looking after us. The venue and facilities are first-class. Comfortable bed, en-suite, bathroom for each of 2 couples. We stayed in the Presidential suite for the 3rd time. There is a large lounge room and dining room off this bedroom. Our friends stayed in the other suite with its similar lounge and dining setup. The extensive grounds are immaculate and looked beautiful on cold, foggy mornings in August. Breakfast was delightful: cereals & bircher musli, then hot options. Plunger coffee, and freshly squeezed orange juice. John was very happy to drive us the 15 minutes into town for our dinner booking. We then got a taxi home so no need for a designated driver.

A great place to stay, with wonderful and friendly hosts. John and Kay were very hospitable and provided great local expertise. The breakfasts were delicious, the rooms were immaculate, and the electric blankets kept us warm at night! I'll stay again.

Clifton Gardens Bed and Breakfast is a great discovery. This hosted B&B is spacious, well-appointed and scrupulously clean. It is set amidst beautiful, sprawling gardens. Kay and John are generous hosts who are fine ambassadors for the Orange community while still allowing the guests their privacy. The food is excellent. We are looking forward to staying there again.

We recently enjoyed another relaxing visit to the home of John and Kay for a 3 night mini-break. Their service and attention to detail is outstanding. It is a treat to walk around the park-like garden area of the home and enjoy the many established trees and local bird life. Of course, the breakfasts are outstanding and you would not be disappointed with the selection available. It is always great to revisit this outstanding Bed & Breakfast in Orange.

This was our 5th visit and would never anywhere else in Orange now. John and Kay are fabulous hosts who can't do enough to make sure your visit is a wonderful experience. The accommodation has always been spotless and the breakfasts fabulous.

We spent 3 days at Clifton Gardens and were totally pampered by our hosts John and Kay. Super helpful hosts who have been in hospitality for over 20 years and really know their stuff. They prepared a wonderful breakfast each day and had the log fires going each afternoon. We stayed in our own wing - essentially a large apartment - with separate bedroom, dressing room and large ensuite, a sitting room with TV and a separate dining area where we sat for breakfast each day. We wondered around substantial grounds set in a very quiet area... all we could hear were the birds. John And Kay are delightful hosts and I would recommend this for any couple wanting a getaway.

We just spent a perfect weekend at John and Kay’s. Everything about the place was amazing. From the hand picked flowers everywhere in the cottage to the sumptuous breakfast in the morning, John and Kay gave us the most considerate and beautiful experience. Both days we had a fire crackling in the living room. We would love to go back again and stay at John and Kay’s B&B ❤️❤️

Lucky to be able to book for the first weekend open after lockdown! John & Kay were extremely helpful prior to our arrival by recommending restaurants and wineries. On arrival, we were greeted with so much helpful local information, along with exquisitely presented accommodation with everything we could need plus more! All the little added touches of wine, muscat, shortbread, chocolates & fruit, along with delicious breakfasts made such a difference! The accommodation was very comfortable, spacious, clean & warm (thanks to the fireplace!) John kindly drove us into town for our Saturday night meal and recommended a lovely wine bar for a drink beforehand. Will definitely be back to explore more of the region, and will recommend to friends!

Everything was lovely - clean and comfortable accommodation, delightful hosts, generous and tasty breakfast. Very spacious accommodation with a lounge and dining area as well as the bedroom. Beautiful location a couple of minutes from town. We visited in summer so it was terrific to have a swim when we arrived. We would definitely stay here again.
