We stayed at the AmericInn in Silver Bay 2 years ago and loved it so came back this summer when we heard the tall ships were coming to Duluth. Even though it is about an hour from Duluth, it's worth the drive for how quiet it is there and for its close proximity to other fun places to go like...

It was a wonderful place to stay out of the craziness of duluth. Worth the drive, plus if you like hiking/biking it's right out back . Friendly people, great pool, clean rooms, and good choices for breakfast.

Nice rooms. A great hot breakfast is served. The rooms are clean. There is an awesome pool for kids and adults! The slide was very popular! I recommend it highly. If we are ever back in the area, I am sure we will stay here again!

This is an awesome hotel. Great customer service, clean rooms, nice pool with fun slide. Loved that we found the secret Black Beach behind the hotel. So cool. We even used the hotel's grill and grilled us up some dinner. Love this hotel.

I thought this hotel was brand new, but is actually several years old- everything top shape and very clean. Good breakfast, great water slide, nice staff. And yes, I did stay here, so this review is for real.

We chose this as a mid-way stop while on our motorcycle. The hotel is very clean, clean pool area, sufficient parking. Breakfasts are the regular hotel breakfast: eggs(scrambled/cheese/etc)/bacon/sausage/pastries/waffles...lots of seating in eating area. Pool area as a toddler water slide into a kiddie pool, a larger water slide with a Mile Slide club (48 times down the slide gets you...
