What a great weekend get-a-way! Book 3 or all 4 rooms and spend the evening on your private outdoor patio with family and friends (can't do that in a hotel). Cozy, nice, and Bill makes a great breakfast when Liz is away! We like that the Covington Inn was close to good restaurants like WA Frost (try the patio dining)...

Coming from Northern Minnesota for our youngest son's wedding in St. Paul (PI weekend) we were looking for a nice B&B for the weekend. What we found was an absolute gem. Liz does an extraordinary job of making you feel completely welcome on her converted tugboat. There are 4 suites all with private baths, fireplaces and unbelievable views of the...

We live in Minneapolis-St. Paul and were looking for a fun place for a stay-cation - and this place fit the bill perfectly. The boat is beautifully restored, and our accommodations in the Pilot House suite were stellar - two stories, with fireplace, sitting room and private deck, all with beautiful views of the river and the St. Paul skyline....

Went to a wedding in St. Paul in November 2014 and looked on TripAdvisor for recommended hotels in the area. I'm so glad we stayed here because the converted tugboat is definitely a MUST SEE and MUST STAY. Liz, the owner, was a gracious hostess and made the most delicious breakfasts that it's quite a detriment to yourself if you...

We want to thank Liz, a fellow Pearl Jam fan, for making our trip to St Paul a memorable one. The breakfast was awesome! The room was really cool. Sleeping on a tugboat on the Mississippi in the middle of a large city is cool. Close to downtown St Paul, it only takes about 10 minutes to walk there. The...

My wife and I are seasoned B&B patrons, and she wanted to surprise me with something truly unique this year. The Covington Inn fits the bill there...Set on the Mighty Mississip and at the foot of the St. Paul skyline, the location could not be better. Very enjoyable watching the working boats in the mornings: within walking distance to many...

I love this place! The rooms, the deck, the breakfast, the common area, & the gorgeous river that surrounds all of it. A truely peaceful place to enjoy the beautiful city skylights while watching the river flow by. A healthy chocolate happy hour on the boat was allot of fun too. Always looking for another reason to spend a few...

The Covington Inn is truly one of those very unique places to see and to actually stay at. This special little tugboat sits in the Mississippi River in St. Paul, MN. We celebrated our anniversary at the Covington for two nights in the Pilot House Room. We had a nice bedroom, private bath, the upstairs pilot room with windows on...

Thank you so much for your wonderful review! I was scared when you checked in and knew I'd have to be on my toes with all those great Trip advisor reviews under your belt! Turns out, I just have to be myself and let the boat and the river speak for itself!! I'm so glad you enjoyed it and am...

Since starting my trip up the MS River from the mouth to the source, I have sought locations that are right on the river. This amazing Inn is actually a tugboat that is IN the river! Each room has a river/skyline view and is very spacious, considering you are on a boat! Very quiet, lots of deck options for sitting...

The Covington Inn is a great, romantic getaway for anyone looking for something comfortable, unique and welcoming. It's a great way to celebrate an anniversary of birthday, as each room is unique and the tugboat is convenient to other attractions in St. Paul. Each of the rooms is unique and offers a comfortable and private but slightly different experience. We...
