The Heartland was the first stop of our 3 month road trip to the east coast and it was a great start. It is old and creaky but that's part of its charm! The bed and room was very comfortable. I would return in a heartbeat.

My Mom's side of the family has stayed here for a whole weekend the past three summers now. Every room in the old school house is wonderfully put together. You tend to feel at home. Mitch and Gloria are wonderful people and have been super accommodating for our group. We have more people than they have room for, so they...

While biking the trail, my chain came off and got severely jammed up. I walked to the bike rental here hoping for any kind of help. The owners were incredibly cheerful and happy to help with my personal bike that I had not even rented from them. Within minutes they removed my tire, fixed my chain, put everything back together...

This is the second year our family has gathered at Heartland Trail Bed & Breakfast. This is the most friendly B&B we have stayed at. Gloria and Mitch do a superb job at making you feel at home and feel comfortable. The rooms are the best. Reminds all of my siblings of the high school we attended! Being right on...

This was our second stay at the Heartland Trail B&B. Mitch and Gloria are amazing hosts. (and Gloria's breakfasts are legendary). We arrived early and spent some sunny time on the back deck while waiting for our friends to join us. We had all registered to ride the Headwaters100 ride the next day. Gloria had coffee ready early for us...

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. It's been years since we've been able to stay at a B&B. It was so peaceful - like staying at a family member's house. We had the privacy of a hotel with the amenities of a home. I loved that it was an old school. The innkeepers are very nice and the breakfast was...

This B&B is a renovated schoolhouse. We stayed in the First Grade room, but I stuck my head in the other rooms (Grades 2-6) and all seemed pleasant. Each has its own attached bathroom. The breakfast was really really good. Bacon, eggs, fruit...The best part of this establishment is the location. It is on the Heartland Trail in Dorset, MN....

My husband and I could not have asked for a better place to end a very hectic "vacation" week. After visiting with family for several days, it was a joy and a blessing to stay at the Heartland Trail Bed and Breakfast. Our stay was peaceful, the room was comfortable and clean, the food tasty nd filling and the host...

This was one of the most charming B&B's I've stayed at. The schoolhouse itself is decorated beautifully with a nod to its former life. We stayed in the 2nd Grade room and found it to be very comfortable and equipped with everything we needed. The area is peaceful and quiet. The hosts are delightful and friendly and breakfast is incredible!

Enjoyed a quick getaway for our Anniversary. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating. The location was great - right by the Heartland Bike Trail which is why we pick this location.
