It is such a lovely place with great food and the service is perfect. They actually care and ask you if there is anything else they can do for you, such a pleasant experience. The variety of the food with fruit, breads, breakfast items is ever so tasty, How can you go wrong?

We recently were at a wedding in the area and our entire family stayed at Lost lake lodge. We had a 2 bedroom cabin #1 and it was recently remodeled. The cabin was clean and nice upon arrival. Check in time was 4 and beware that is when you can check in as we arrived around 1pm from Minneapolis and... More

Dining menu looks very good but adaptability of the staff is limited. Not well trained waitress staff... no flexibility in the menu. Grounds excellent but a bit noisy outside related to young guest. Suggest that the restaurant team that owns Praire Bay and Sherwood Forest restaurants expand the menu...more variety and less garlic which seems to be present in almost... More

I was hesitant booking this property after reading the previous reviews, but we had a very nice stay. Pros: - We were able to book a long weekend. Many Gull Lake properties only allow for full week bookings. - The food (for the adults) was over the top amazing. Kids fare was pretty standard hot dog, chicken fingers, etc. -... More

We stayed in Cabin 17 and it was wonderful! Lost Lake Lodge is a great get away. On one side you have Gull Lake Narrows and the other side you have Lost Lake. Beautiful walking path around Lost Lake. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. We'll definitely be back!

We had our wedding at Lost Lake Lodge, and loved it! The grounds are lovely, and there were plenty of activities to keep us busy (biking, game room, playground, volleyball net, various boats, etc.) The customer service was excellent. The cabins are comfortable and decorated very well. The best part for me, was the food, though. The food was scrumptious.... More

The atmosphere was guest oriented and staff always had an attitude of solving any all issues to make wonderful experiences 2015 saw new ownership and the demise of a lovely family get away. My "poor" rating stems from NOT a comparison of Lost Lake Lodge to other resorts in the area, but from what Lost Lake Lodge USED to be, prior to 2015. My family enjoyed a week at LLL every summer for seven years. It's safe to say that it had become a cherished family tradition, and a core part of my... More

This is our 2nd time going there. This time we went with our 6 month old son. We stayed at Cabin #9 which had a great view from the living room area of the lake and a small patio. The staff was very friendly and was very accommodating especially with a 6 month old. When our son got cranky we... More

The location is great and the small lost lake is private and very nice. We were there for a long weekend. The place needs a lot more cleaning. The restaurant is very very slow and the menu is not that good. Time to change the chef and update the menu!

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Minnesota's smallest all-inclusive resort, Lost Lake Lodge offers lodging in 14 lakeside cabins, with breakfast and dinner in their award-winning restaurant included in the daily rate. Resting between a private, spring-fed lake and the Upper Gull Lake Narrows, the 80 acres of forest and trails are surrounded by water on all sides. The resort mixes 1940's retro-charm and vintage knotty pine with luxurious appointments and modern conveniences, allowing guests to experience the kind of "up-north" lake vacation they remember from childhood, but with all the comforts of home. A stay at Lost Lake Lodge will not only include the chance to catch bass off the dock or paddle a kayak out to see the loons' nest, it will also ensure that each evening culminates in a gourmet four-course dinner overlooking Gull Lake. There are no crowds here: the cabins, restaurant, lakes, and activities are all within easy walking distance, yet the property is large enough that guests can enjoy private time around the grounds any time of day. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly, taking time to get to know their guests and providing outstanding personalized service. Winner of Wine Spectator's Award of Excellence, the restaurant's extensive wine list features international value wines and highly-rated California selections, and offers both wine pairing and wine flight options. Ever-changing entree choices range from pan-fried walleye to grilled wild boar tenderloin and locally-grown, house-smoked duck breast. All table breads are made from scratch in the kitchen each day, and the chef sources much of his produce from local farms. Children's menus are available for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. ... more   less
