Bendles Cottages are as perfect as any Retreat we have stayed in. A credit to Owners/Managers as the complex is huge but was fastidiously maintained. Not a leaf out of place. We stayed in Bickleigh and would love to return to it but from what we saw all cottages are lovely. There is total privacy in and between the staggered cottages, all of which overlook the beautiful, secluded grounds. 2 Bathrobes, always a lovely touch. So many little extras. Everything was spotless. Contactless Check-in and checkout was easy and all aspects of booking highly efficient. Some books and current magazines supplied. Wardrobe and storage space. Comfy lounge and huge bed, beautiful linens. Functional kitchen. We never ate out. The unexpected Welcome Basket was fabulous. All food items delicious and so much supplied it took 3 days to get thought it all. The Bathroom was spacious and luxurious. Jacuzzi/Shower looked out to a fenced private Fernery. Sliding doors between Bedroom/Bathroom and loo cubicle inside also had a sliding door. We’re not fans of doorless bathrooms and 2 stops this Trip annoyingly had no bathroom door. The outdoor deck overlooked the tranquil gardens and was very well furnished down to a BBQ. If we weren’t out we lived on it. Blissful. Never had trouble getting a car park at front of Reception. The air-conditioning, TV and Wifi all excellent. Location was excellent and close to everything. Fantastic Antique Centre across the road. We hope to return.

We stayed for three nights in the ‘Toorak’ cottage and the whole experience was simply beautiful. Everything you could possibly want or need during your stay was catered for in the most immaculately spotless cottage. The gardens and surroundings are gorgeous and there many little paths you can walk around and admire the serene settings. Five private cottages are on site and even though ‘Bendles’ was fully booked, we never heard a sound! It was blissful.
It was cold enough to use the slow combustion fire in the cottage which just added to the whole experience. You have pre-chopped wood, kindling and fire-starters in a wood box on the veranda to give you a head start!
It is luxurious, charming and so highly recommended!! Thank you to the owners Darren & Julia - your attention to detail is incredible. We can’t wait to return.

First time we have been here, very easy to find. Check in was easy as it was contactless because of covid19 and checkout was the same way. Could not of asked for anything more comfortable, it was exactly as in the photos, nothing was forgotten about from free wifi, netflix, spa bath, fire place and Aircon, mini kitchen we even had breakfast basket included which we didn't know about, bacon eggs bread tomato, juice, cereal, fruit. Very nice indeed. Very close to a lot of attractions as well.

Have just returned from a 2 night stay in Bickleigh Cottage for our babymoon. Peaceful and relaxing location and only a short drive to Maleny. Cottage was very clean/well maintained and came with everything you need. Breakfast hamper, chocolates on pillows on arrival, free Netflix and wifi were all nice extra touches. The only downside to our stay was that we had no hot water for a shower from Saturday night. Notified the owners by email on Sunday morning (as it was getting quite late on Saturday night by the time we realised we had no hot water) and was pretty disheartened with the response back. Basically “thanks for your feedback, we would have sorted at the time but appreciate you telling us now.” Considering it’s a 4 star hotel and the money we paid for the accommodation (and the fact that I am 7 months’ pregnant and went without a hot shower for 2 days!) I am pretty disappointed with the response and lack of offer of compensation or anything. While there were definitely positives to our stay, the issue with the hot water has left a sour taste in my mouth and probably won’t be going back any time soon. Rated 2.5 stars.

We go to great effort to ensure an optimal experience for guests. This includes an onsite person specifically there for emergencies any time of day or night. This service was explained to you at check in and requested that you do not hesitate to utilise this help in emergencies. So we are very disappointed to only discover via email after you checked out that you only had luke warm water the night before your departure. Your email went on to state "...we were very happy with our accommodation. It was exactly the relaxing weekend we were after..." We immediately had a plumber inspect the hot water system and was advised it was a very simple remedy to establish full hot temperature again and this could have easily been resolved at the time. We would have appreciated you giving us the opportunity to resolve this at the time rather than souring your otherwise great stay and us receiving a 'mixed feeling' review from you. Your notification to us was marked as 'just an FYI' so we did not realise you were actually also seeking compensation until reading this somewhat disheartening review. We wish you and your new family the best for the future.

Stayed here for two nights. Absolutely an amazingly beautiful place to stay. Location is good, the cottage was so pretty and clean. The extra touches on arrival were a welcome gift. Stocked fridge with breakfast for two days 🥚 🥓 🥛🍞 juice choice of cereals. Nespresso coffee machine. Tasty locally made chocolate The bed was super comfy and plenty is pillows and extra blankets. Can’t wait to book again.

Absolutely fantastic place to stay. Beautiful gardens and a lovely cottage with everything you need. Bacon, eggs and lots of goodies were provided for breakfast, which was great. Close to Malaney and Montville. Highly recommended for a weekend away. Or longer!

The new owners of Bendles really know how to impress. The meticulous attention to detail is amazing. It feels like home. Our cottage was spotless and comes with everything you need or want.
As an example you have a Nespresso machine with pods or instant coffee or plunger coffee. The same with tea. A great selection. When we arrived we had fresh fruit, the cabin air con was on and cool with gentle music playing. The owner was very welcoming and gave us our breakfast hamper. The hamper was excellent with lots of yummy food for breakfast.
The cabin veranda has an electric BBQ which is easy to use. Attention to detail included mosquito coils and roll on aeroguard. Having dinner on the patio was really special.
The bathroom is a seperate room which I prefer. It has everything you need and includes a spa bath with a shower above. I loved the clean white tiles and contrasting blue.
The kitchen is fantastic with a convection, grill microwave. The cupboards had everything you need. This may seem meticulous however even the knives were sharp. These owners know the hospitality industry really well.
The bed is a brand new king-size and super comfy. The cabin has a new smart TV with Netflix included. Internet is included for each cabin.
This cottage is a winner and we will be back. Next time will be in winter so I can use the fireplace. This is not a fake electric look alike. The gardens are beautiful and peaceful.
I would give the Bendles cottages a trip advisor award. Well done :-)

My fiancé and I have just checked out after spending two nights at this lovely property.
On arrival we were upgraded to the Toorak cottage, which was very comfortable, spotlessly clean and thoughtfully appointed with all you could possibly need for a short getaway. The large spa bath, fire place and gorgeous garden views from our private veranda made for a relaxing stay.
A delicious two course breakfast (including produce from the local dairy) is served on your cottage veranda each morning at your preferred time slot, with the table carefully set with beautiful table linen and crockery (such a lovely and unexpected touch).
Maleny’s top two dinner restaurants according to trip advisor (King Ludwigs German Restaurant and Maleny Terrace Seafood Restaurant) are both located a short drive down the road, and the town centre of Maleny is an easy few minutes drive also.
I would highly recommend Bendles Cottages Maleny for couples looking for centrally located, relaxing short stay in the Sunshine Coast hinterland.

Great service and perfect location for a getaway weekend for couples. Only a small number of cottages which are spacious and have everything you could wish for. Breakfast was included in our deal as was champagne and port. Loved the cosiness of the log fire and double spa. Great place to explore the shops and restaurants in Montville and Maleny. We'll be back!

We had a small Parent's away weekend while on family vacation in Brisbane and I'm so glad we chose Bendles. Sue just could not be more accommodating and sweet. There were homemade cookies and a lovely cheese and cracker plate waiting for us. The room was just perfect. Our breakfast was delivered to our terrace and it was wonderful. We got take away one night and stayed in to watch DVD's. Fantastic. We stayed in the Toorak suite which overlooked the little fountain and if you continue down the path you can get to the tennis court. This would be a perfect place for a wedding. Loved it and highly recommend it. Makes you feel like you're staying with friends that treat you like VIP's! Thank you Sue and John!
