I have stayed at both the Residence Inn and the Renaissance; the two properties are connected. The neighborhood is the old Mill neighborhood and it is beautiful with great older architecture and a flavor for the old railroad days. Great walking to park, river, restaurants, even bars with old style character. The Renaissance is more upscale with nicer, more expensively...

We had an amazing stay at The Residence Inn at the Depot. The rooms were very clean, we had a fireplace in our room as well. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The location was great, just a couple blocks from The heart of downtown. The decor was great as well, not steril and modern, but very classy and...

My wife and I stayed for an evening before a meeting in Minneapolis. The staff was very nice and accommodating. It is nice to be able walk and see the old depot sections of the building. We were bummed out the ice rink was not open for the night we were there. The evening social was good, and breakfast was...

Clean and comfortable Residence Inn. The in room furniture could use a good updating as it seems like nothing matches. A burnt orange round houndstooth pillow on the couch just appears to be out of place Everyone at the front desk just was very upbeat and helpful. At check in it was Andrew and Megan. Courteous!! Today I got some...

Thank you for your feedback. We are glad that you found the staff to be courteous and the room to be clean. As for the throw pillows and such, we will take a look and see if there may be some more appropriate accent choices we can make to help the room feel more cohesive in style and design. We'd...

My husband and I and two teenagers stayed here for 4 nights over New Years Day weekend. Residence Inn's have become our favorite hotel because we are able to get a 2 bedroom, 2 bath unit which is very comfortable for our family. With the living are and kitchenette, it is perfect. This Residence Inn was very clean and comfortable...

Every time we come to Minneapolis we use this hotel. Why? 1) Just a hop skip and jump to the Vikings Stadium 2) although there is a very nice restaurant in the hotel, there are other equally nice restaurants within walking distance 3) the rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable 4) has underground parking, which in Minneapolis is a definite...

This hotel was a great holiday getaway. It had a super family friendly water park for kids plus the ice rink which was a great combination. Even better they used to have a fun New Year's Eve event. They have removed the water park, which is understandable. It was probably expensive to run and didn't bring in that much additional...

Dear Aaron S Thank you for your feedback regarding your recent stay at the Residence Inn, the Depot. Please accept our apologies for the waterpark closure. The biggest factor in making the decision to remove it was simply to add additional guest rooms. We understand that having been a guest while we had a waterpark, to simply swim in our...

Walk through Renaissance Hotel and it connects with Depot Skating! Walking distance to main downtown area with good weather or cross the street and connect with skywalk system! Exceptional service and support. I stayed there during the Ryder Cup in September 2016. Possibly one of the busiest tourist times for the area. One of our group required an electric chair to facilitate mobility to and from the hotel. The chair broke during transport and the staff helped us coordinate repair so we never missed one day of the...

Hotel was conveniently located -- next door to the Depot, close to Viking stadium, walking distance to several good restaurants. Had an underground heated parking garage which was great since it snowed 9 inches while we were there. Rooms were nice and comfortable. At one point there were 7 of us hanging out in the room and it was big...
