I actually really enjoyed this hotel! We have taken many trips down Highway 23 and I don't ever remember seeing this hotel - so when I made the reservation online, I was worried I got scammed. We got there at 2:35, checked in, and had to wait for the poor girl to finish cleaning our room. I think the worst...

Wow, spent the night here after the Frank Valli concert up at the Mille Lacs casino. Only 30 miles down 169 off of Highway 23. It is a banquet center and they had a wedding going on, so it was alittle loud, but bearable and they mentioned that on their website. We had room 213 with the whirlpool bath and...

Who's ever heard of a hotel in this day and age that doesn't provide shampoo? We had black mold in our bathroom, right below the showerhead, so it's not like the cleaning staff wouldn't have seen it. There were cobwebs around the air conditioner unit (which threatened to fall out of the fall). Lighting in the rooms was awful. It...

First, make sure you are reserving it when the hotel is quite - no large gatherings in the works. Second, request that the heater be turned up to 75 degrees hours before you arrive. My wife and I have used the hotel as a romantic getaway on a number of occasions. By taking these 2 precautions, it can work. If...

The Phoenix Hotel was a miserable place to stay at. Upon arrival, we checked in and the front desk gal was very nice. However, things changed for the worse once we were in our room. The room was Ice cold, and I mean ice cold. There was an inch and a half gap underneath the door that lead to the...

Phoenix Hotel and Convention Center Milaca, MN. I've done a lot of traveling, and been a lot of places. my two nights at the Phoenix were not one of my most memorable experiences. The housing area was once a school, and it might have been better of retaining that designation. The majority of the second floor rooms face the center...

I had a very bad experience at this hotel. The first night was fine, but when I returned the second night, I heard deafening music and party noise the minute I got out of the car. I went to the room, assuming there would be some buffering, but the room reverberated with base and the DJ, music and yelling was...

Rented a room that was unfortunately right over a wedding party's DJ. Lets just say that the Phoenix needs to REALLY soundproof the building better! The music was so loud that the lamp vibrated across the table! Attempted several times to call the front desk but they wouldn't answer. Finally at midnight I went down to complain to the frontdesk...

The hotel was very clean and rooms were extremely spacious! The staff was friendly and accommodating. I've stayed at hundreds of hotels all over the country and would say it was a very enjoyable experience. I would recommend this hotel to my friends and family traveling through the area. The pool area was clean and you could tell they had...

The is a middle school turned into a hotel, which makes it feel rather strange but the rooms themselves are like most hotel rooms. It was clean and the bed was comfortable. They did not offer any complimentary shampoo conditioner or lotion, only small bars of soap for the sink, but there is a store in town though that should...
