We loved our recent stay at the The Scanlon. Lanesboro has many great B&Bs and small Inns but we really like The Scanlon. The rooms are very well appointed with a 2 person jacuzzi, plush beds and nice amenities. The grounds are spectacular with beautiful gardens and lots of little hideaways to sit in sun or shade. The multi-course breakfast...

This was my wife and my (after 25 years of marriage) first trip to a B&B. We loved the beautiful grounds and sat and read the paper and played cribbage under the huge pines. The room was decorated to the nines and, while smaller, had a two person hot tub and comfortable bed. The breakfast was a unique pasta/breakfast dish...

The Historic Scanlan House is exactly what a good B&B should be. Beautiful old house with lots of antiques and thoughtful detail, friendly and helpful hosts, interesting guests, comfortable rooms. Did I mention the breakfast? Wow. Delicious, big and beautifully served in lovely old dining rooms.

What a neat historic house that neatly decorated and landscaped. The house felt cozy and welcoming and the innkeepers were very friendly and accommodating. We had no real complaints but would have liked a quick tour of the house but wasn't offered. No big deal though. It's just interesting to hear the history of the places we stay. We stayed...

My spouse and I have stayed at numerous B&Bs (including 2 different B&Bs in 2 different towns in the past week), and I can honestly say that Scanlan House is one of the best. Our room (Masquerade) was very clean, pretty, and roomy enough for two people. I placed my carry-on suitcase on the luggage stand, my spouse opened his...

This is our second time staying at the Historic Scanlan House Bed and Breakfast Inn in Lanesboro, MN. The place is just as delightful as I remembered it. This time we stayed in the Masquerade Room which is on the second floor and has the turret balcony that is one of the architectural highlights of this home. The room is...

My Brother, his girlfriend and my wife and I celebrated our Mom and Dad's 60th wedding anniversary with a 2 day stay at the Scanlon. We occupied the 'Sunrise', Steepleview', and Safari suites and had a great time. It was nice to sit out on the porch outside of the Safari suite. Mary and Kirsten are gracious hosts, providing us...

This was our second visit to Lanesboro and this time we chose to stay at the Historic Scanlan House. It proved to be an excellent choice. We stayed in the Masquerade Room. This room is on the second floor and had a small balcony that we were able to enjoy. The room and the whole house was furnished in period...

We really had a great time at The Scanlon House. We stayed in the Masquerade Suite and enjoyed wine from the Scenic Valley Winery on the balcony. Mary and Kirstin were outstanding hosts, great storytellers, and great chefs. We look forward to staying there again. Several of the other couples there had stayed there many times and thought is was...
