Lovely restored pub in the heart of town. Nice interior and great outdoor eating area. Typical pub cuisine but great value and small town atmosphere. It was extremely busy on a Friday night but we didn't wait long for our food and the staff provided table service after you ordered. Highly recommended!

What a beautiful hotel .
My childhood memories of this hotel was a family Sunday lunch which we arrived by boat from South West Rocks . The hotel has been completely modernised.
The beer garden was relaxing with the backdrop of a solo artist playing a variety of classic music.
We ordered the Arancini Balls for starters . Three full rice filled balls done to perfection. Main was a Pork Belly and Seafood Laksa . Absolutely delicious. Unfortunately we ordered the sticky date for dessert which was a disappointment. It was so dry and cold . Sorry please get a new recipe it’s a great dessert .
Otherwise a great experience

This beautiful pub, settled on the river in Gladstone, NSW, is a great venue and was perfect for a catch up with friends from mid north coast towns.

The team are warm and friendly and the food offered was traditional pub choices and specials with Asian, European and Aussie flavours.

We had the Parmigiana which came with a generous chicken breast and crispy bacon, the fish and chips and a seafood laksa with plump king prawns, scallops, green lipped mussels and barramundi. Highlight for Chip lovers were the crispy chips with fluffy insides.

Disappointing...and very sadly I must add! We regularly holiday on the NSW mid north coast and for the last 3 to 4 years always make it to Gladstone for lunch at the pub. On arrival today I noticed the regular chef was missing but was assured, by the bar staff, that bistro management remained unchanged. Well management might be unchanged but I can't say the same about the food. My wife tried the Plate of Colour and feeling rather cautious ordered the cheeseburger. We decided driving back to our holiday digs that, for now, the Gladstone Heritage pub was off our list. Yes, sad but true

Great old world charm hotel along the Macleay river. Clean and friendly and the food was delicious. Ordered the old classic surf and turf which happened to be on the specials menu for the night . Great prawns and generous serve . The dining room was full on Wednesday night as they were also hosting trivia night

Well restored pub with lots of character - a place that is easy to go for an afternoon drink or a family dinner.

Broad menu choice with blackboard specials also available. Gluten free, vegan and vegetarian meals all feature on the menu.

Every meal that we have ordered has always been delicious.

Wednesday night trivia was a bit of fun but also made the bistro area a little noisy to carry on a conversation.

Great selection of cocktails at the bar for a holiday treat as well!

I rang ahead of arriving to order my meals for them to be done by the time I got there as it was close to the cut off for the kitchen. I ordered 2 meals (the only 2 vegan options) and a side of chips. It seemed quite cheap so I questioned it and said is that for two main meals and chips.. I was cut off by the young girl and was told it was exactly what I ordered on the phone so I took her word and sat down and waited. One meal came out and so did the chips.. we waited a while longer nothing the kitchen lights where now off i walked over to ask if our other meal was coming. She looked at me shocked and said i don’t think there was another. Unfortunately the girl that took my order on the phone did not enter both meals and of course was no longer there to confirm what we had ordered. The kitchen was now well and truely closed so my partner and i had to share a meal. There was no apology no offer of something easier to be made or another alternative. The salad was nice however the overall experience wasn’t the greatest.

Visited today for lunch. While the food was ok we were really disappointed that dogs are welcome in the beer garden. When we arrived there were 2 dogs sitting on the seats next to their humans. A 3rd dog arrived and sat on the ground but stretched up to put its paws and face on the table. Not what we would like to share our lunch with. Won’t return. If you can’t leave your animal behind this is the place for you.

Good town to take a detour to have a pub lunch. Outdoor and indoor seating, spacious surrounds. Solid range of lunch options from starters to burgers. Recommend the bucket of Yamba prawns for a local treat. Friendly service with water views.
