We have been twice and love Snowshoe Country! Ron is such a great host and has a beautiful and well-maintained property. The cabin we stayed in was clean, quiet, and very cozy! This is a great place to snowshoe or canoe on the lake in the warmer months. We snowshoed out to the 300 year old pine where we got...

I've been here 3 times before, staying in different cabins, and with different friends. Every time I am left completely at peace. Ron is now like family. Be respectful, and enjoy the wonders of this area!

A group of friends and I stayed in the Glacial Esker Cabin, and it was absolutely wonderful. Earlier in the week there had been a decent snowfall that covered all the trees, creating a hidden winter wonderland. The cabin was very spacious leaving plenty of room for the seven of us. The directions from Duluth were fairly simple, and it...

Snowshoe Country Lodge offers a clutch of fine rustic log cabins for rent for a fairly reasonably rate. I found the place while searching for something away from the high priced accommodations along the North Shore. Although not on the lake by any means Snowshoe Country is on a beautiful wild piece of Minnesota ~40 miles north of Two Harbors....

This was an amazing place to visit. My dog and I were at home and comfy in our cabin with the woodstove and forest surroundings. This was truly rustic, no frills-no hot tub or internet! We'll be back!

Headed up to snowshoe country for a few nights with 3 buddies. It was awesome. Our cabin was so cool, nicer than i expected. The trails Ron has made are great, i was thinking we would have to drive somewhere to do some snowshoeing, but he has lots of nice trails. The dog was welcome so that was great. Ron...

We wanted a unique and romantic place to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. Most couples would opt for a cruise or Hawaii or Europe but we decided on the BWCA so we could really be alone together. The friendly owner is Ron Brodigan and he runs the "Great Lakes School of Log Building." He and his students have built the...

I've visited Snowshoe Country many times (in all seasons) and have had great experiences EVERY time! If you feel the need to get away...this is the place to stay. The hiking is second to none in the spring - autumn and snowshoeing is fantasitic in winter. The cabins are simple yet inviting and the scenery is the some of the...

I have been to the Snowshoe Country lodge three times over the years, and I will be back. Each cabin was handmade and very cozy and rustic. The price certainly can't be beat, and neither can the scenery.
