We had a two night stay here this week (one was a voucher from Unusual Accommodation). We stayed in the largest room which has a lovely high beamed ceiling (mind your head) and was spotlessley clean and the bed very comfortable. Emma welcomed us into this lovely farmhouse which has been in her family for many years. The breakfasts were...

We have just returned from a 1 night stay at Bury House. Everything about it was excellent. Emma met us with a warm welcome and offered us a hot drink. Our room ( almost a suite ) was delightful - spotlessly clean, tastefully decorated and with every comfort we could wish for. There were a variety of drinks in the...

Only stayed one night but wouldn't hesitate to go back. The house has a wonderful history and our room was spotlessly clean, cosy and spacious and very well appointed. Emma was very helpful and looked after us well - the breakfast too was delicious. We had a lovely time in Ely wandering around the maltings area, looking at the barges...

We had a very enjoyable 4 night stay at Bury House and would recommend it unreservedly. Emma is a natural hostess and we felt very much at home in this house full of character & charm. Very well situated for Ely & great winter birdwatching opportunities in The Fens .

Little Downham, a pretty fenland village, is very well situated between Ely with its magnificent Cathedral and Welney with its stunning Wildfowl Trust. Bury House is in the heart of the village and is full of character. There is also a nearby pub which is handy for supper. I arrived on a chilly weekend in February, to attend a Living...

Sadly the friend I wanted to stay here with on a kid free weekend couldn't make it so took my teenage son instead. The twin room was spacious with a double bed and single bed which was ideal. Lovely modern furnishings, fresh crisp bedding, tea/coffee, water, and biscuits. It's the added extras here that really make a difference, some books...

“If you're taller than average, you may want to mention this because of the lovely old beams in our bed- and bathroom.”

“Emma had told us in advance that the twin room (which we wanted) had low beams. That was fine with us. You do have to be careful when you walk around, but there is so much character with the old beams - it was not a problem.”
