Cannot even find the right works to describe our stay at Burntside. It was a week of much needed rest and relaxation spent in the best of company at the best place for R&R! Our cabin was perfect, perched high up on the hill. The sunsets were breathtaking and the staff like family. Walking around the grounds, every little detail...

The smell of earthy pine after a summer storm; the sight of sparkling water through pine boughs; the sound of lapping wavelets on the pebbles; the feel of a gentle breeze that flutters the birch leaves;the taste of blueberries in scones or muddled w mint & sugar for their signature mojito. Marvelous place we will define by our senses!

It’s the details that made my stay at Burntside lodge so perfect: the ironed sheets, the raked sand of the beach, the comfortable and inviting wooden chairs placed perfectly around the grounds. There are multiple docks for evening sunsets and morning cups of coffee and chairs placed strategically and thoughtfully around the grounds. My exquisite historical cabin looked just like...

We took a last minute trip to Burntside over Memorial weekend. Lonnie and Lou were fantastic hosts along with their entire staff. They pay attention to the small details to make sure your stay is memorable. Cabin 26 is a one room original log cabin right on the water. A great place to relax, enjoy nature, kayak, fish, read a...

The peacefulness and beauty of natural surroundings doesn't get any better than at Burntside Lodge. The cabins are delightful - cozy and clean with old world charm. The common areas in the main lodge provide rest, relaxation, reading, and an opportunity to view antiques of a by-gone era. The gracious hospitality of family owners, staff, and servers in the restaurant...

Along with two other couples, we had reservations at 8pm though we arrived at 7pm. We ordered drinks from the bar and then the lights started to go out because there was a storm coming through. Fortunately the lights stayed on and we spent the next hour in the library room visiting and playing backgammon. We sat by the window...

These log cabins are nestled in the woods overlooking beautiful Burntside Lake with its many loons, which you can hear throughout the day. You can rent boats, paddle boards, kayaks and hydro-bikes to explore the lake. The restaurant is pricey but you get what you pay for. Burntside Lodge makes it easy to unplug, because there are no TVs and...

So enjoyed the historic quality of the lodge. It is rare to find such authentic Northwood's construction in such pristine condition. The food was out of this world and the cocktails were heavenly. The whole family was there on vacation and each of our cabins were beautifully decorated, supplied with quality amenities, and offered cooking facilities if one was interested....
