We just had a week long vacation at Timber Trail Lodge, and we have mixed opinions on rather we'd go back or not. Overall it was good, and we are VERY low-maintenance, laid back travelers. It's a beautiful area and a beautiful lake. What we didn't enjoy was having no privacy in the particular cabin we were in - Aspen....

My family has been staying at Timber Trail for many years. We have stayed in many of the cabins available and all are quite nice. This is not a place you go looking for all of the high class items, this is the place you go to enjoy peace, quiet, and wilderness how God created it. There is cell phone...

My wife and I stayed in the Ranger cabin, a "primitive" structure moved from inside the Boundary Waters log by log and reassembled on site - cast iron woodstove and other "no-tech" (no TV, no telephone, and so on) made this a return to earlier times experience. Of course, cellphone coverage and wifi are here too, but I was more...

For the past 8 years, we have chosen Timber Trail Lodge as the location for our week long Retreat for Women. Our experience at Timber Trail has been exceptional in every way. We stay in the Evergreen & Diamond Willow cabins and love their comfortable & cozy atmosphere, fireplaces in each cabin & fully equipped modern kitchens. Another plus for...

This place "rocks"! ... in a quiet way. Right next to the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness. More water to paddle on in a lifetime, right from your cabin. The cabins are spotless, the kitchen in Evergreen is big enough to cook a dinner for twenty & I should know I was the cook du jour for the week. The...

We stayed in the Evergreen cabin and it was great. Its was big, clean, and comfortable with one bedroom upstairs with one bed and two bedrooms downstairs, one with two sets of bunk beds and the other with a queen and a single. You have your own dock and campfire area, and a nice size deck. The large kitchen was...

We stayed in one of their kitchenette rooms. That's what we like, a stove w/oven, microwave, small fridge, and good TV. The price was excellent. Farm Lake is beautiful, a very peaceful place on the edge of nowhere. Everyone was very friendly and the location was good for us. Far enough from the hustle and bustle of a Labor Day...

We just got back from another great vacation to Timber Trail Lodge. This family run resort is super, and all the help couldn't be nicer. It's clean, all the amenities we could want, and the family/staff really goes out of their way to make your stay a memorable one! We've enjoyed it many times (6 or 7) and we will...

Located on Farm Lake, this family resort is where we stay when picking up the kids from summer camps in or near Ely (or spending time between sessions). The cabins are nice & clean, though the bedrooms in some cabins can be a tad tight for two. Service is both cheerful & helpful (once, when stranded by high wind up...
