We were looking for an quiet escape and found just the place at the Firelight Inn. It is strategiclly located not far from all that Duluth has to offer, Canal Street, the U campus, charming city Neighborhoods and other places of interest. Privacy is abound but Jim and Joy are the perfect hosts ready for tips and guidance or just...

Joy and Jim are great hosts! My husband and I had a great, relaxing weekend. The house is gorgeous and the breakfasts to die for. The room was comfy, with a nice sized jacuzzi and private bathroom. There are also tons of things to do and see closeby. Highly recommend it.

Jim and Joy have done an excellent job. This was our first stay at a B&B and we can't wait to go back. There is not one detail that is overlooked at this Inn. Very, very clean. Would pass a white glove test! Breakfast was delicious and so filling we skipped lunch. Very quiet and felt secluded even though it...

The Firelight Inn. Jim and Joy are great hosts. From the greeting at the door, the fabulous morning breakfast and to the day you leave. The smiles on both their faces let you know they love what they do. My wife and I have been there 4 times since our wedding in 2001 and can not wait to go back....

Although the property is beautiful and the private breakfast is great, it's the owners of the Firelight Inn that make this place really special. Jim and Joy are so genuinely interested in each of their guests' satisfaction that it feels like you're staying at an old friend's house for the weekend. They are friendly and attentive and just wonderful people....

Having stayed at numerous B&B's around MN we feel that the Firelight Inn is our favorite of all. Jim and Joy have made a beautiful home for themselves and a home away from home for all of their guests. From our beautiful room to the scrumptious breakfasts we couldn't have been happier!

We stayed at the Firelight Inn for our honeymoon in the Superior Suite. Really, we couldn't have asked for a better experience. My B&B-skeptical husband was completely won over. The Superior Suite has a skylight attached the fire escape, and we could hear the brook from our room. Coupled with the whirlpool, fireplace, and separate "den" with TV/DVD/VHS with cable,...

The home is gorgeously restored and maintained and has a welcoming curb appeal in a quiet setting along the Oregon Creek.
