The place was dirty. One bath towel. Microwave and refrigerator were listed. Had neither one of them. For what they charged it sure wasn't worth it.And I am we won't ever stay there again. Being and older motel is fine but, it should be kept clean.

Dear 747richardgg, I am very sorry to learn of your experience at our motel and that the room did not have the amenities you expected. I sincerely apologize for the lack of cleanliness in the room. You are correct that regardless of age guests should expect a clean room in which to retire. I apologize that this was not the...

My wife and I stayed here from Sep 11-13. We chose this motel because of location and price. We were welcomed by friendly, helpful front desk staff. This motel is nice and quiet, the room was clean, and the bed was comfortable (had a VERY good sleep both nights!). The delicious breakfast pastries are made locally at Johnson's Bakery. My...

The room was small and slightly dated. There was a little mold/mildew in the shower and would easily be cleaned up with some bleach. Otherwise the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The room served its purpose and is in a good location. We easily walked to Canal Park and local shops in the area.

Glad to hear you found our little gem in Downtown Duluth. I hope the hotel's lack of amenities was made up for by its proximity to everything Downtown. Its location certainly makes it easy to get to everywhere you need to be. Thank you for your review and we hope to see you again soon!

This place was nicer when it was a Best Western...the fridge is gone, as are the iron and board. The room had a general tiredness to it. On a positive note, the bed was comfortable. The towels were like tissue paper. Probably will not go back.

We decided to take a last minute Labor Day Weekend vacation to Duluth. Our 2.5 year old daughter had never experienced the North Shore or a Motel before. The price was reasonable for a holiday weekend and we were able to book immediately. The staff was friendly and the room clean. She had a blast and knowing after a long...

We spent the labor day weekend in Duluth and stayed here. The breakfast area was small with an limited breakfast. Boiled eggs were cold and OJ sour. Bread was old too. Also parking was limited. We were lucky to get the last slot on a rainy night on a one-way stay. I couldn't imagine not getting that last slot.

We enjoyed our stay here. We asked for a quiet room and were given one in the back, by the alley. It was really quiet until 5:30AM or so, when guests started using the ice machine to fill up coolers. Our room was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the price was decent for a Labor Day Weekend trip.

I spent the weekend in Duluth for the Superior Man Tri and I choose this place because it was close enough to walk to the convention center but not as expensive as the all the places right on Canal Park.
