We spent a wonderful Valentine's Eve at this sweet hotel! Our room was perfect! Comfortable and romantic with an astonishing view of the canal and the city lights. Everything about our stay was more than we expected.

The hotel is located on the other side of canal park but it is still very convenient to walk across the bridge to the tourist areas. Our room has both view of the harbor and bridge, while just by the bridge, it wasn't noisy. The staff members are friendly and polite. We enjoy our stays.

When our baby was around 6 months old, we decided to take our first overnight trip away (while leaving the baby with grandma) here. Definitely try to get the whirlpool/jacuzzi suite if you can. It had a beautiful view of the bay area, nice big windows, a great deck, jacuzzi in the room plus fireplace and the bedroom separate. It...

This place is a gem. It's everything you expect: immaculate, nice bedding, friendly staff. However, the owners have gone one step farther and paid attention to the "little" (but not little in my mind) that make it better than a franchise hotel. The room (room with one bed) and bathroom were both very roomy, the bathroom counter actually had enough...

What a wonderful experience to stay at this property. I can't remember if I have EVER stayed in a cleaner and more well appointed room. My husband thought it had been recently remodeled and it hasn't! Obviously the housekeeping and maintenance staff do a terrific job as it's 15 years old. And when was the last time you actually met...

We have been to Duluth many times, but this was the first time that we stayed at South Pier Inn. We highly recommend this hotel. You cannot find a better location. It is just across the Ariel Bridge on Park Point so it is close to Duluth restaurants, shopping and site seeing. The rooms are very clean and quiet, the...

Talk about a pleasant surprise! Junior hockey brought me to Duluth in December just as a polar plunge settled in. The Inn is right on the edge of Lake Superior and the Lift Bridge - what a cool location! Almost hard to believe. I reserved a king suite, complete with hot tub and gas fireplace... Truly special, I will be...

The rooms were large and well kept. Located adjacent to the channel and lift bridge so you can sit on a balcony and observe the action which is neat when a big vessel cruises through. The hotel keeps a schedule so you know when they arrive. It is also an easy walk to the numerous old city water front businesses...

This was our first time here and we thought it was great and very unique. Like that there are only two rooms in the area where we stayed. Didn't hear any noise at all. The rooms are clean and spacious. Love that each one has a balcony. We could sit by the fireplace in the lobby and watch the ships...

My husband and I stayed at this hotel in a large suite with a whirlpool. We had an excellent view, and really enjoyed watching the ships pass by. The room was comfortable and clean. The staff was also very nice, even when I called down about a concern about the sheets, small pilling that made them scratchy. An attendant came...
