My cousin would be in Duluth from Australia and we decided to try a bread & breakfast. This was a first for us but the rate was better than the hotels in August. WOW! We were in the Lester River Master Suite. Front bedroom with a bedroom, living room, walk in closet and full bath with separate shower & claw...

Highly recommended. Having breakfast in the opulent dining room is an incomparable experience. That's not even to mention the fabulous food, which included blueberry cream cheese baked French Toast one morning and bacon strata another. The current Bed & Breakfast setup beautifully continues and preserves the Olcott's rich history. The innkeeper Sean has a thorough knowledge of the house and...

My wife and I got away from it all and stayed 3 nights at Olcott House B & B (olcotthouse.com) and could not be more satisfied with the property, our spacious room, and the personable and attentive staff. Why would I stay in a hotel when I can stay here for the same price or less? The gourmet breakfasts and...

My husband and I decided to revisit the Olcott House recently, after a 17-year absence. This B&B holds a special place in our hearts, and we wanted to love it this time like we did 17 years ago. Unfortunately, we did not have an outstanding experience. Upon arrival, we learned almost immediately from the manager that the housekeeper apparently left...

Great old building, very comfortable and Sean, the Innkeeper went above and beyond to accommodate any possible need we might have. He is a delight to communicate with and thinks of every little detail in advance. Great wrap around porch to enjoy while enjoying the evening wine and cheese while listening to the rain. Highly recommend this gem!

My husband and I decided to try Duluth in the summer after making a family trip in mid-winter a couple of years ago. We were so pleased to be able to book a room in the magnificent Olcott House! We were warmly greeted by our host, Sean (so many spellings of that name that I am probably wrong here). After...

Beautiful bed and breakfast! Delicious breakfast! BUT.....if you want hot water for a bath, shower, or just to wash your hands you have to WAIT 20-30 minutes for the water to "warm up"! More reading materials would have also been welcome in our room. Probably won't return.

We came to Duluth especially for staying at the Olcott house an architecture delight for 2 nights to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The B & B's owners were not there, as they are transitioning to other endeavors. John and Catherine were superb hosts on a temporary basis. The breakfast was gourmet in nature and seconds were offered. The wine and chocolates...

If ever you have any reason to come to Duluth, you have to find a way to stay at the Olcott House Bread & Breakfast Inn. In fact, coming to this beautiful Georgian mansion might be reason enough to come to Duluth. We stayed for two nights last week and absolutely loved this place. In short, this is literally one...

Wife and I were here for 3 nights last month. Had a great time and were bowled over by this historic mansion. So much of the home is still in its original splendor. Also enjoyed walking through the neighborhood and looking at similar homes. Very easy to get downtown from here, and could walk down hill to a nice restaurant...
