This is a great place!!! Has everything you need. Very large rooms, very clean! The staff is so nice and went above and beyond to accommodate us. The food in the restaurant was really good and the bar was fun. The service was great all around. Right on the snowmobile trail. Huge parking lot. Really has everything you need.

Recently a group of 10 headed north to see the fall colors. We stayed here, what an enjoyable time. The staff is amazing, the rooms were clean. We will be back because of the way we were treated! Great job

Very cool in that they have three large (ceiling to the floor) windows where you can sit and watch bears. September is not the time to view this, as beer are being baited, our waitress said August is the best. Waitress also told some funny stories of customers stupid enough to want to play with the bear. Salad bar looked...

Konteka was a great place to stay while visiting the Porkies. A bit old, but the staff made up for the 70's decor. The food was excellent, the service was outstanding, and the people were great. After a long day of hiking each day at the Porkies, we enjoyed a nice meal with libations while watched the bear feed every...

We did not stay at this hotel, but ate at the adjoining restaurant. It was recommended by the owner of the cabin we stayed at, but maybe she hasn't been here in awhile! When you drive into the parking lot and find it next to an abandoned "mall" with broken windows, it should be a clue to turn around! Service...

Pretty sure feeding bears human food left-overs is not good for them but they are quite happy coming to get their meals from Konteka. Funny place in the middle of not much complete with a bowling alley (smallest one we have ever seen) and a rowdy nightlife in the bar. The room was nice except for the smell of cigarette...

Years ago it was a hopping place, now the town is all but deserted. But, it's still a decent stay. Trying to find the "lobby" is a little challenging And the lodging rate was quite high in my book but once that's hurdle is crossed it was a good overall place. Bar was nice, bartender was friendly. Food was good...

It was an older building, but clean and well maintained. Owners very hospitable and helpful. Would return when visiting the Porkies. Only downside is remember to bring cash! The local bank is only open 3 days a week and only a few hours.

On a motorcycle trip around Lake Superior and wanted to visit Lake of the Clouds, Porcupine Mountain. It was nice to be able to park the bike and have everything at one place. A small store, gas, bowling lanes, good food and lounge. While having dinner, we watch out the window, 4 large black bears eating what the resort fed...

This place has everything you need under one roof. One of our favorite places in the UP. The staff, as well as the locals, are very friendly and helpful with any questions about the area. Food is good, beer is cold. They have a small store, gas and laundry facilities. It is a little dated but always clean. Close to...
