We were a party of 8 who stayed here for two nights using all four rooms at the hotel. The welcome we received from the owners Cyril and Nadia was if we were long lost friends. They showed us to the fantastic quirky and well appointed rooms, it's hard to describe how amazing and unique each room is, best to look at the pictures. All in all a fantastic small hotel, the rooms and service are fantastic but the real stars are the owners and their genuine wish to cater for all your needs.
This is one of my favourite places to stay - anywhere. The accommodation is exceptional - room are enormous and very tastefully decorated with beautiful antique pieces, exposed wooden beams that must be hundreds of years old and bathrooms the size of an apartment. We have stayed here for at least one night for each of the last 3 years as a stopover on the way to holidays in the vendee and it is a family favourite, the kids love it and it is a great base for visiting Rennes about 290 minutes away. Nadia and Cyril couldn't be more friendly or helpful and Nadia's far breton is a breakfast treat!
Having been on a road trip and taken in the local car museum at Loheac, also highly recommended, we stayed at L'Hostellerie du village. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, nothing was too much trouble for them. We wanted for nothing. The room was amazing. Huge in size with a massive ensuite Bathroom, almost pool sized bath which the kids adored, super sized tv, terasse/veranda. The bed was very comfortable. Downstairs is the bar, they don't serve meals although they do breakfasts. There are many restaurants at different prices in the village. The bar is a lively and inviting place to have a drink in a really fantastic atmosphere and ambience. I cannot recommend this friendly and helpful hotel enough.
Beautiful hotel in a picture postcard village that you won't find in the guide books. The rooms are spectacular - this was our second visit. We stayed as a four person family (2&2) in the lancelot room last year - over 700 sq feet. Thought that couldn't be topped but it was this year by the perceval room. Even bigger with gorgeous antique pieces, massive exposed beams hundreds of years old, a giant bed and the biggest bathroom I've ever seen. Cyrille and Nathalie are so friendly and helpful, there's a really good wine selection and they've always provided a secure stowaway area for bikes etc. Thoroughly recommended, can't wait to go back.
This upmarket B&B (inn) is run by a young, very friendly couple (Nadia and Cyrill) who are passionate about their business. They have spent a lot of time renovating and decorating the rooms (5 in all) which are all spacious, individual, tasteful and quirky. Nadia was delighted and proud to show us around the inn including all the other bedrooms. Loheac is quite small but easy to reach. L'Hostellerie doesn't do evening food (just continental breakfast which was very good) so we ate in the hotel opposite, which was also excellent (La Gibeciere). We would definitely recommend L'Hostellerie Du Village and hope to visit again next time we are travelling from Cherbourg.
