We stayed for one night in the quaint and beautiful village Lohéac, and we really enjoyed it. The owner of the hotel was very nice and welcoming and it is a family business since 75 years. Lohéac has a great car museum that is well worth a visit. We really recommend a visit to both Lohéac and this wonderful hotel. The restaurant was really great as well, the food was very good and the garden where we ate was really gorgeous - we loved it!
Superb village hotel just off main routes. We wanted a smaller hotel rather than corporate and found it. Room was super and enjoyed the hot tub. The restaurant was fantastic and the food wonderfully presented. We will be back for sure 🤗 Thank you.
A sure fire winner with all our friends when looking for a quality French cuisine experience. Great food, excellent service in the charming village of Loheac. Fantastic day out when doubled up with a trip to the nearby car museum. English spoken & email bookings taken.
Arrived in this town after desperately looking for accommodation & somewhere to eat, and discovered another one of France’s many hidden gems. The restaurant wasn’t busy when we went in, but was mobbed as we left, with both locals & tourists. The staff were excellent. The meal was very good, the wine excellent, mid to high price range, and the menu was dotted with local Breton dishes, which provided a diversion from the normal Fayre. The town is a lovely place to stay, with the added bonus of the excellent motor moseum, with its huge collection, on the outskirts.
Recently visited the Motor Museum in Loheac and stopped for coffee in this charming bar, which we later discovered was a hotel as well. As it was late and would take 2 hrs to reach our planned preferred location, we decided to stay at La Gibeciere. As he had no twin rooms available that night he offered us 2 double rooms that night at a reduced rate of 56 euro instead of 62 euro each room. Rooms were excellent, bit small for 2, but still excellent, bed was comfortable, free wifi , en suite was superb. Local to hotel was bar and eatery, although the hotel did do meals as well. Breakfast was 8 euros (as it is with most french b and b etc) and was excellent buffet style , all you can eat French breakfast. There was also private parking for the bikes which was good. All in all an enjoyable stay and helpful owner. Definitely recommend, especially if visiting the superb motor museum near by, which is worth it.…
