90 miles to the east of Chicago, along the shores of Lake Michigan lies the fantastic little town of St. Joseph, Michigan. With it's lovely lakeside setting, wonderful beaches, red bricked streets and myriad of shops, restaurants and wine bars, St. Joe is the epitome of casual elegance mixed with Midwestern charm! And when you visit this little gem of... More

My fiancée and I stayed here in early March and had an AMAZING experience. From the moment Bill greeted us with a warm smile, entering his home felt like stepping into a dream. The Morning Room was adorable, charming, warm, and incredibly affordable for unparalleled service and amenities. We walked through a well-stocked living room and into a stunning sun... More

Really enjoyed our getaway to South Cliff Inn. The innkeepers, Bill and Mark, were warm and welcoming. And, they made one of the best breakfasts I've had in years. Our room was charming and comfortable looking right over the lake. Confident that we will be back again!

In this case, it's as good as they say - I booked for the view and bcs of the other positive reviews on this site. What we got were gracious hosts, comfortable accommodations with a lovely view, and breakfasts that were prepared with an attention to detail and flavor beyond typical b&b fare.

My heart belongs to this Bill and Mark and the South Cliff Inn. I can not explain in words how awesome our stay was here. We stayed in "The Study" room. Cozy, beautifully decorated, awesome fireplace, amazing jacuzzi tub and balcony that overlooks the lake and garden. Breakfast is an amazing buffet of fresh fruit, strudel cakes, coffeecakes, frittata's, Toast,... More

Every anniversary we go to a B & B. We have went to this establishment twice. Both times were awesome experiences. We stayed in The Study with the two person jacuzzi, private balcony, and great view of Lake Michigan. The food is absolutely wonderful, the room is clean and welcoming, and it's in a great location. South Cliff B & B is run by a chef - he is fantastic. This place is great: incredible breakfast, magical views of Lake Michigan, clean and quiet. The owner also really knows St Joseph MI and he can direct you to all of the sights and activities. St Joe has much more to offer than we ever knew. If... More

Our flight was cancelled causing us to have to find another airline to make the trip. Our new flight had us arriving at the bed and breakfast approximately 5 hours later than we were expecting to. Bill, the owner, was most gracious and understanding and welcomed us! We found a wonderful room overlooking Lake Michigan. We were tired and hungry...Bill... More

Wonderful B&B beside the lake. Bill was an excellent host, great conversationalist, and a dynamite breakfast chef. Jody filled in for Bill over the weekend and was equally affable and competent. Breakfast was a special treat each day. We also made a special effort to return around 5:00 PM or so for some nice cheese and wine. The view toward... More
