We enjoyed a lovely two day weekend in the off season at Cabin 6 and plan to return every year. The cabin was clean, well-furnished and sat next to a babbling brook for the perfect ambiance. In addition to an indoor fireplace, a gas heater and plenty of blankets, we were never chilly on the cold, October nights. The beach...

Beautiful, peaceful, rustic. We wanted to camp without having to haul a camper 3+ hours, set up tear down, Etc. This was perfect to give us that rustic charm and nostalgic feel like we were at grandma's cabin:) we stayed in cabin 4 which didn't offer much privacy but we weren't looking for that on this trip;) this was a...

My husband and I were married a year ago this summer. We went to the Balsams Resort and stayed in Cabin 5 for our honeymoon round 2! It was a great place to rest, relax and have fun. We biked to St. Ignace for the best slice of pizza I've ever had at B.C. Pizza, spent time on the beach,...

We stayed in cabin #7 for three nights in July 2016. Our party consisted of two couples, each with two kids under the age of 5. The cabin itself was very cute from the outside, set in among the trees, and appears well-maintained for an 80 year old log cabin. Once we got in, the cabin is definitely not large,...

We stayed in Cabin 1. Which was nice, clean, and just what we needed. Taking 3 grandkids to see the wonders of the "UP" we wanted to stay some where we could cook too, if we wanted. My 4 year old granddaughter was in love with the place. We stayed there July of 2015, this summer she keeps asking when...

Thank goodness we only had to stay for one night. While the cottage looked cute from the outside, the floor was uneven and felt unstable and the whole place needed to be scrubbed. It smelled musty and like someone had smoked in the room. If you stay here, plan to make your own beds and haul out the trash. Ridiculous.

Stick leg table, hand painted chairs, and lots of pine will take you back to the 50s. Our room was large and clean. Only complaint was that the pillows were too flat for me. But, my wife liked hers. Located 5 minutes outside of St. Ignace. $65 for the night.

I love camping. I don't like being ripped off though. I can't understand why this is the top rated place in St Ignace. We stayed about four hours before asking for a refund. The floors were filthy, as was the rest of the cabin. The floors slanted on the ends of the cabin. Cobwebs everywhere. Saw mice inside the cabin....

I'll be as fair and diplomatic as possible... Our cabin was very dirty, but the kicker was when I saw a mouse in our bedroom. When I told the owner that I needed a refund, and mentioned the mouse, he asked how many as though that mattered, and said that we are trespassers into the animal's domain. Ok, I get...

I can only review the motel, I have no idea what the cabins are like. I guess I can't really complain, as the motel rooms were exactly as their photos. I paid $74 per night and should have forked over the extra for a cabin. The room was basic and clean. I didn't have a problem with it, but my...
