Visited the UP with a friend and thoroughly enjoyed the Colonial House Inn. Full of character, charmingly Victorian, clean and comfy, as well as lots of space to spread out -- front parlour, porches, sitting rooms, etc. Fabulous bed! We were on the 3rd floor and as it was only for 2 nights we didn't need to carry much up...

Mike was here for check-in & Chris was here for breakfast. My room was outstanding. Chris prepared a very delicious breakfast for me. I highly recommend staying here. They even had snacks & beverages for me to help myself. Quiet & a very comfortable bed.

When we arrived we were greeted by Mike who is as nice as can be! The house is old with nice original details like hardwood floors and some newer details which only add to the gentile ambiance. The furniture is turn of the 19th century. Our room was the Cherry room. It has a fireplace in the sitting room and...

Easy online booking and photos of rooms Directions and parking in back made it easy to find and access. Can park in front if space. Located right across street from Arnold Mackinac Ferry, the boardwalk and harbor. Chris (the owner did not initially introduce herself. We had to ask her name and so did another guest at breakfast) was prompt,...

We finally arrived at the Colonial, a bit late due to the walk across the bridge. I would avoid staying in the area on Labor Day due to their affine issues. Room was ready and nice. Refreshments were available to us before heading out to dinner. Balcony overlook on the second floor is nice. Don't let the outside condition on...

This has been my second stay at the Colonial House. On both visits, I stayed in room 11. It's located on the upper level of the motel section. Very spacious, with a queen bed as well as a day bed in a sitting area. I was happy to notice the bathroom had been updated since my last visit. What I...

Located right across the road from the Arnold Ferry Line. Our room faced the water and was very comfortable, breakfast was nice, and the staff was top notch. Incredible value that we will 100% choose again the next time we come to the region.

We have stayed here twice, once in the B and B and once in the attached motel. Our room in the B and B was spacious, immaculate, and beautifully decorated with antique furnishings that matched the period of the house. We had a view of the water and access to the huge second floor balcony which is gorgeous although not...

Stayed at the motel section. It has parking at the back and very close to the ferries. Great choice, it would have been better if there is a coffee machine! The motel section is less expensive than the bed and breakfast but considering that there are fast food restaurants in a few minutes away, by car, it is a great...

We stayed in the Cherry room for two nights a week apart, because St. Ignace was a good halfway point to our destination. Yes, the exterior could use a little love, but the interior is beautifully maintained. Our room was spacious and comfortable, and the mattress was extra firm, which is bliss to find in a B&B. The house is...
