We have travelled extensively around Australia in our caravan with our great dane x mastiff x Labrador girl "Tikka".

So when we had an overnight trip to Frankston we were looking for a dog friendly motel.

Frankston Holliday Park ticked all the boxes. Their dog friendly motel rooms had tiled floor throughout, air conditioning, kitchenette, table/chairs, bed, swimming pool and park to walk the dog. The office staff were friendly and helpful and the room was very clean.

I think Victoria is the most dog friendly state in Australia.........

We have now stayed here in the " dog friendly" motel side several times and could not be happier. The staff a particularly helpful, the rooms are always clean, and all in all we give the place the "thumbs up". Our four legged baby likes the place too ! Thanks Donna and staff !! Do have trouble with the Wifi though, and the aircon is particularly rowdy.

Wife and I recently had a weekend stay in a double cabin. We didn't want for any ammenities as the cabin was very well equipped which was a welcome relief after other recent stays elsewhere that left a few things lacking. Excellent customer service from checkin to checkout. Great value and we highly recommend a stay here.

if I could leave minus 5 stars I would. Horrible staff & management. We were staying there for 10 days over Christmas & New Year due to being in transit moving interstate due to a family member's life threatening illness. We have been in a very, very stressful set of circumstances of which the staff of this park were somewhat aware and gave us no consideration. I had not had time to clean up the cabin one day there as I had to go out in a hurry, and was intending to sort it on my return - when I got back, we were locked out of the gate and told we had been evicted and the park was taking the remainder of our already paid money 'to fix the cabin', which took my mother and husband 15 minutes to do, while I waited in the car with my four young children (after which we were "allowed" to stay our last 2 nights. If we had not paid already I would have immediately taken my children and found other arrangements).
The staff are clearly not 'family friendly' (as they are dog friendly apparently), and they do not seem to recognise the stress of being in such a life circumstance as we were, in a 2 bedroom small cabin for 10 days with four children age 2, 4, 6, & 8 (one of whom is autistic) - and have SOME kind of family Christmas which may well be the last one ever for one family member. The staff also didn't seem to 'get' that we were also trying to get a house ready to hand keys back before we left Victoria - so we were extremely short on time. I was also quite unwell over Christmas myself, further complicating matters.
My parents in law, and brother in law also rented rooms at the park, (one of whom is the seriously ill family member). They did not receive clean linen in their entire stay, as they were told that they would, and they have also said the park and staff were horrible, and they will never stay there again.

Stayed overnight in a motel room. Was there a little after the office closed but had organised late check in which was very easy. Comfy bed and very clean. The spa bath was not the greatest but still a nice touch.

We booked the double room which was very spacious. The bathroom and the room were very clean too. Most importantly it had a microwave oven which is perfect if you are traveling on a budget. The staff was also very friendly. Overall it is worth for the price and we enjoyed the stay.

Whilst right on the Frankston-Dandenong Hwy the motel room was quiet and well appointed. Light breakfast was supplied and tea and coffee making facilities together with toaster and microwave. The bed was comfy and the room very clean. Would recommend for brief stays.

We enjoyed our stay, friendly staff, reasonably quiet. Room was clean and beds were extremely comfortable. I would of rated it five star however the spa was really old and noisy. But still enjoyed the spa without jets on. Would stay again for sure

It`s the first place we have stayed where you have to pay all up front. We were told our towels would be changed on the Wed and Sat. They were only changed on the Sat and we were checking out on the Sun. Not too hygienic. Tea ,coffee etc was not replaced the whole time we were there. Fleas in the bedding. We were in a pet friendly room ( with no pet) . We were both bitten with Fleas. Did not have these bites prior to check in ,and they went away after we home. Being on Chemo Treatment these bites could have become infected due to my immune system being at a low level. All rubbish bins in the cabin area where our son and family stayed were overfull the day we arrived (Mon) the same for the skip. These were not emptied until Fri (Boxing Day), so there was no where to dispose of rubbish from Christmas. Another Health risk.Yet our Son and family were locked out of the park because of a few boxes etc on the floor of their cabin while trying to pack up to relocate to Tas and entertain 4 small children at Christmas.Wern`t due out for 2 day`s. What else can you expect at Christmas . Not happy at all.

We stayed in a cabin at the Frankston Holiday park 2 days in April.
Cabin was clean except the carpet would have to be drawn. There is everything you need to cook, but it lacked warmth. The decor is dated and lacks charm.
The pictures are better than the reality.
Also, the park is right on the main road and far from the city. Not a good location if you wish to stay on the Mornington Peninsula and enjoy the coast.
