We stayed here for a few nights before the Labor Day holiday. The owners are very welcoming and personable, as well as the rooms very clean. They have a nice pool and the lake is right across the street! You are only a few miles from Port Austin and about 15 from Caseville..would highly recommend this little gem!!

Very quaint, clean. Nice pool lots of activities for kids. Great convenience of the kitchenette, well stocked with dishes and silverware, pots and pans . our first time there. BBQ grills available. Very well kept. Management and staff very friendly. Definitely will be back

Stayed in a kitchenette room for a week and had everything we needed to relax on a budget. The room was clean and the service was top-notch. The owners live on the premises and bent over backward to accommodate us, even when the power went out due to a freak storm. Although not obvious from the road, the property is...

Pleasant stay at a simple no frills motel. Rooms were very basic but spotless, grounds were well maintained and inviting. Staff and owner were very pleasant and helpful. Pool yand area was clean and also had outdoor activities for children to enjoy as well as nightly bonfires. Only drawback, room was quite pricey even for peak season, with beach access...

Stayed here for one night in August for the Cheeseburger Festival in Caseville. It was a very last-minute road trip for us, and it's a miracle we even found a room. Thank goodness they had a cancellation because this place is super clean, the owner was friendly and helpful, and we felt very comfortable there. Didn't use the pool but...

My wife and I asked for a kitchen room which we got comes with two queen size beds an old TV that I'm surprised it works if we would have known how small the kitchenette was with a bar fridge we would have rented a single room without a kitchen the room with the kitchen the price is a little...

Very clean and great location, they even had a bit of beach across the road. Our room had newer carpet and an older tile bathroom. The tile was spotless and everything was in great shape for its age. The one downside were the beds...old and super firm with no give...made for some restless nights. Location was just a couple miles...

Upon arriving, I noticed ashtrays lining the window edge of every room. (I should have taken that cue and moved on to another hotel.) When one goes up north, fresh air is ideal. Unfortunately, we had to shut our windows and utilize the a/c unit. Our neighbor not only had a "cig" outside his room every 30 minutes, but continued...

My wife and I have been going to the Sun and Sand Motel for several years now. We did not like the looks of a larger more "modern" hotel one town over so we took a chance on the Sun and Sand and we're glad we did. It has a 1950s or 1960s motor lodge feel including the ceramic tile...

Owners were very nice and welcoming. Landscaping and all outdoor places were nice and well kept. Pool area was awesome. The badminton equipment and basketballs need to be replaced. Fire was burning all day! Quick walk across road gives you access to Lake Huron. Room was small and beds were so hard and loud( wrapped in plastic). If they updated...
