The staff is amazing. The rooms are comfy and clean. The hotel is close to everything.
Ronnie and Kayla at the front desk are awesome. Kayla called to confirm my stay she told me she was happy I was staying with them again. She made me excited for my stay. Ronnie signed me up on my first stay to the reward program. Now I look for a Holiday Inn first when I travel for work. I love staying at this hotel.

We stayed here Sat. night to relax after visiting the Avalanche Bay Waterpark. We were very happy with our stay and glad that we chose to go this route vs staying at the waterpark and paying $850/1 night. We were able to get a deluxe room with 2 queen beds, a pullout couch and it had 2 bathrooms. There were 6 of us, 2 adults and 4 kids so it worked out very well. The room was very nice and also had fireplace and 2 balconies. When you walk into the hotel it is very appealing, there is a nice little waterfall and they have fresh bottles of water and apples for you to grab. They also offer breakfast the following morning which is nice before you head home. We also noticed they offer a complimentary limo ride uptown if you want to go shop or dine in style. I thought that was cool but since we were going to the waterpark we weren't able to use the limo. We got back late from the waterpark so we also weren't able to use the pool but the pics online looked great, we may have to come back sometime! We had a great time and would definitely stay here again!

Good place to stay when in Petoskey area. We stayed in Room 101 for two nights while skiing nearby. Staff is very welcoming and professional. Rooms are clean, modern and spacious. The beds were very comfortable, with choice of 4 pillows on each so no problem finding the 'right' kind of pillow. The bathrooms were a bit sparse...only 1 hook and 1 towel rack so you had to pile clean towels on the toilet to use the rack. There was a cubby for the big towels which was also the only place to store a hairdryer as the sink top was a bit small if you have lots of toiletries. The towels were very soft, and the water pressure was good with lots of hot water.
We booked last minute so took what room was available; I would not recommend room 101 if you're a light sleeper. It is at the end of the hall by a side entrance which is convenient, but it also had late-night traffic. The room above us were noisy elephants at 1am too. Nothing that the hotel could do anything about...we'll just try to book sooner and get a higher floor next time.
The breakfast was covid-compliant and good. You fill out a form the night before with your room# and what you would like (juice, fruit, hot biscuit/egg/sausage sandwich, yogurt, oatmeal) - you can have as many of each as you want. In the morning you pick it up and they also serve you coffee. You can keep the same menu choices the whole stay or change if you want. The first day I waited briefly in line with 3 people, the second day no wait. Very efficient and easy.
The pool, sauna, and exercise room is available, with masks, but we did not use them. Sauna and exercise room are limited to people from 1 room; pool is limited to 16 people.
We'll definitely consider staying here in the future.

Average room, not great breakfast (hard boiled eggs, instant oatmeal, packaged pastries) front desk seems like they would rather be somewhere else than dealing with standard questions and interaction with guests. My big complaint about this place, though, is with the FILTHY pool. It is DISGUSTING!! I have stayed here 3 times over the past 5 years (only because of in-laws making the reservations, using points, etc.) and every time we have stayed here the pool has been a repulsive yellow cesspool of hair and other substances I will not name here. The hot tub is even worse. I don't know what's going on with this place or why the health department hasn't shut it down yet. The first time we stayed here I thought that maybe there a been an unruly group there and the filthy, pee-filled pool was just the result of that. But no, that just seems to be the standard here. The last time we stayed I complained to someone at the front desk that the pool was so dirty it was unusable and the woman told me 'it's fine, we just cleaned it this morning'. I didn't even know what to say. I travel a lot for work, and for pleasure, and I have never seen a hotel pool as filthy as the one at the Holiday Inn Petoskey has been on all 3 of my family's stays. Needless to say, I will never stay here again.

I've stayed at this hotel many times, but I was pleasantly surprised by the upgraded room layout, lighting, coffee maker, cleanliness and overall value when factoring in the cost.
I wish the sit down breakfast service could be reinstated, but I understand given the C-19 issue we are still struggling through.
Overall, I was very satisfied with my latest stay and would highly recommend this hotel for couples, families or business travelers.

Clean and well managed IHG Hotel property. Several precautions are now in place to ensure safety from the pandemic virus including take out morning breakfast and cleaning of rooms only after checking out instead of every day. Masks are required too of course in hall ways and lobby. Limousine service is a definite nice touch for transportation to and from downtown Petoskey every night. Only complaint is that 3 days in a row there were no towels provided at the pool. Even after informing the staff no towels were supplied so we used the towels from our room instead. Trash and dirty towel laundry had to be placed out in the hall ways as no ongoing room service occurs until you vacate the room. Unfortunately this is probably the "new normal" for hotel service due to COVID... One last comment - the room balconies are tiny barely accommodating one to two people at a time. Just another 2 to 3 feet of extension on balcony lengths from Hotel outer wall would have made them much more functional and comfortable.

This was our first time staying at the Holiday Inn in Petoskey, we previously stayed at the Hampton Inn down the road. We really enjoyed our stay at the Holiday Inn, it was better than the Hampton Inn for several reasons. The breakfast area had many tables which meant more folks could be accommodated for breakfast. They also included a very nice highchair for little ones that we took advantage of! The breakfast area also overlooks the valley view which is breathtaking during any time of day. We also enjoyed having a balcony as part of our room because it allowed the adults to sit outside and talk while the kids stayed inside :-)
The pool area was well kept and clean; they also have a dry sauna which is a very nice feature. We did not use the limo as we had three children with us, but adults can take a free limo to and from downtown Petoskey or the Odawa casino which is a nice perk. One item to consider is asking for a room overlooking the valley and not US 131 because the cars can get noisy if you want to leave your door open for some fresh air. Also make sure to stay away from the laundry room as we heard it being used all day and night, (we brought a noisemaker so it was not a deal breaker to us.)
Overall if you have to chose between the Holiday Inn and Hampton Inn in Petoskey, I would chose the Holiday Inn because of the breakfast accommodations, the clean pool area, and excellent rooms that include balconies.

This is a immaculately clean, updated ING Holiday inn property close to downtown Petosky. The only hotel right in the middle of town is the Stafford Perry which is an older historic hotel. From the ING property, you must drive to the downtown area. It’s about 5 minutes. Parking is plentiful, but before 6 pm, all street parking is metered.
**Important to note that this hotel has a white stretch limo that will take you to town or the casino across the street if you don’t want to drive. For those that love to gamble, the casino is right across the street and the limo will take you there.
The hotel fronts main highway 131 and a beautiful valley of trees on the backside. Unfortunately, the little cramped balconies have railings that obstruct the views of the valley trees if you are on that side of the hotel. These rooms are more expensive.
Our king was a nice size, but as usual, the drawer and hanging space are minimal. We asked for a quiet room and got one. Pool, hot tub & sauna were always busy. Gym is very small. Free breakfast was in a lovely room with a veranda overlooking the valley. Why they hindered the view (placing a parking lot in front was beyond me). This parking lot also affects the view of the higher priced rooms facing the valley.
Breakfast choices were plentiful and good. Front desk staff were knowledgeable and efficient. Brittney, at the front desk, was particularly helpful.
From this location, it’s a short drive to Michigan city to catch the Mackinaw Ferry, or in the opposite direction, drive the Tunnel of Trees to the incomparable “Legs Inn” for authentic Polish food at a beautifully quirky designed property on Lake Michigan. We would return to this property. Petosky is a lovely place to visit!

We stayed at this Holiday Inn on 9-16-22 in room 304, which is just a little ways past where the main entrance is on the first floor. It’s an older hostel but very well maintained and clean. We had a king size bed and it was very comfortable, a great sleep for our last day of vacation. The pool and spa were larger than most which was good as there many people in them. I think there was something going on as there were several guest drinking by the pool and many children playing in the pool (kinda late) tool. I still enjoyed the whirlpool after a one day on the road. Went to our room and settled in and fell to sleep in that wonderful bed, only to woke up by the guest above us jumping and stomping on the floor above us. To the credit of the hotel staff, I called the front desk and made them aware and they son took care of the problem because we didn’t hear it very long after that. The hotel was packed I think we got the last room available, but I think the hotel staff did a pretty retry good job taking care of things, because even when we went to breakfast everything was clean and well stocked, as a matter of fact their breakfast was better than the previous 4 Holiday Inns we stayed in this week. This will definitely be one of our favorites.

+1
This hotel is a great one if you are looking for a very clean hotel. The bed was so comfortable for a great nights sleep. The sheets were very comfy the best I have ever seen in a hotel and I am very picky! The free breakfast was great and each day they seemed to switch it up a bit, like bacon one day and sausage the next. We stayed in the King Suite with a whirlpool, although we did not use it, because at the time of our booking it was all that was available for a King. The room was very spacious and there were so many little things this hotel did that I just love to make things convenient. They have hooks in the bedroom/living area, shelves in the bathroom shower, the shower curtain has an angle at the top so you can see the persons head in the shower. They provide the shampoo, conditioner and bodywash in full bottles on the shower wall. They have a laundry basket in the hotel room for your dirty towels. Popcorn was on the counter in the kitchenette area, water in the fridge and we had two microwaves. There is even storage area under the kitchenette area with some paper towel. The built in bench in the bedroom area can also be used for your luggage instead of an old fashion luggage rack. They have a wonderful light over the couch, which I loved for reading and there was a fireplace too! Plus ceiling fans in both bed area and sitting area which were great! USB connections by each side of the bed for phone charging at night. I really wish other hotels would do these little things because they do really matter. The only thing that might need to be improved would be maybe the jets in the whirlpool tub that looked more yellow than white, but I know that the plastic will do that over time depending on the water, but we didn't use so I can't really review that part. We had room 411 and it had a balcony, although we didn't use due to the fact we were there during the Canadian fire haze. I do wish they could make the balconies bigger with more space, I would not feel comfortable out there if we did use it. I have been at other hotels with nicer balconies. We would stay here again that is for sure especially with the other options in the area. Book a stay you won't regret it!

Hello
The complimentry limo service runs every afternoon 365 days a week.
Our off season rates vary but do start in October.
Please do not hesitate to call us and let us help you reserve a room for your next visit.
Call hotel. I didn’t see any pets though.
Yes they provided a free limo ride downtown for us to have dinner. Then it picked us up and took us to the casino. When we were done there, it picked us up and took us back to hotel. All at no charge. Of course we tipped the awesome driver.
Not sure.
