Nice campground, a lot of seasonal s campers. Very nice store. You can rent canoes and boats, and they have a beach on the lake. I think it is mostly seasonals with a handful of transient sites. The beach and water are typical Michigan inland lakes. Sites were mostly bare and gravel. Easy dumpstation. Nothing great, but not too bad....

They charged me for more nights after we checked out, then refused to return the funds. The owners will not take phone calls and the teenagers that answer say it happens all the time. They charge sales tax on campsite which I have now found to be illegal.

My group of 4 spent 3 nights there. The campground is well kept and off the beaten path. The private lake is nice with no need for a license. They groom the beach every day. The store is clean and well stocked. The restrooms and showers are well kept and clean. Why is it a 3? There is no wifi...

Great employees made sure everything run so smoothly! They were all so kind! If you want a place that makes you feel welcome, this is the place to go! The sweet girls in the store work so hard! When they answer the phone with "Genesee Otterlake Campground, how can I make you smile today?" it makes your heart melt!

I Love Genesee Otterlake campground! Everytime I go I'm treated more like a friend then a customer! One time I came there to camp and went into my camper found my fridge off and all my food went bad, I was so upset! I never asked for help but the owner and employees went and cleaned out my fridge for...

I was charged sales tax on my $90 stay and could pay with cash only. I contacted the Michigan taxing people and they told me that campsites are not taxable and I explained this to the girl and she said she's been collecting for over a year there. I asked for a receipt showing it for sales tax on my...

I would never recommend this campground to anyone! What used to be a great place for families has turned into a disaster. Ownership seems to be in question, foul-mouthed management, they offer activities that are usually cancelled at the last minute and Sheriff's patrol has been there because of problems with residents. Michigan has some beautiful campgrounds, why stay at...
