Nice hotel with ok value for money. We choose it due to having Tesla destination charger. They have 2 chargers, one only for Tesla’s. Charging our car worked fine. Nice clean rooms. The hotel in general felt a bit old in style. We didn’t try the restaurant. Nice pool area and bar. Friendly staff.

When we pulled up at the hotel we thought what a beautiful setting. But sadly this is the only thing going for this hotel on the night we visited. We were booked into a pool or lake view room, but even though the hotel was very quiet we were given room 102 which had neither. (If you actually went on to the balcony and turned left you could see the pool but not from the room) As we were only there for one night we didnt bother to complain. The front of house is modern but our room was tired & decor very 70's. Shower in the bathroom was not the best. Dinner in the restaurant was not what is expeted from a Logis of this standard. We did book the half board option 195 Euros for one night. We were sat & when we asked for the menus we were told we will tell you what you can have! It was 3 starters,1 meat or 1 fish main & 3 sweets which also had to be ordered at the start of the meal. We were never asked if we would like to upgrade to the a la carte for a supplement. The starters were reasonable but the main course was so salty it was uneatable. When we mentioned this we were told thats how it should be!. My pannacota was whipped cream with bits of pineapple, a pannacota it was not. Even though there were 4 staff for approx 10 diners nobody bothered to refil your wine they just chatted & when we returned to the patio our pre dinner glasses where still on the table. The breakfast buffet was adequate with reasonable choices. Nobody seemed to care & its such a shame for such a beautiful setting. We have never had such a bad experience in a logis of this rating. The town is very charming but when revisiting we will definately be staying somewhere else

The room was ok, a bit basic for the price and lacking tea/coffee making facilities. We should have been told of the major building works taking place almost immediately outside our room; we had an early start so weren't too disturbed by the noise which started at 8.00am - we might have been less relaxed about it if we had been staying for a few days. The most disappointing part of our stay was the restaurant. We were getting towards the end of our holiday so both decided to blow-out a bit and order the lobster. The lobsters were a bit overcooked but worse than that, the plates they were served up on were drowning in a sickly sweet dressing which killed any flavour of the lobster. The salad bed was a very strange mixture and did not complement the lobster in any way. It is the first time I have been served lobster in a restaurant without a full set of tools, including picks, and there was no finger bowl which is essential when tearing apart a lobster with your fingers. Terribly disappointing. It was also strange to be asked for our dessert order when ordering our starters and main courses, I don't remember that ever happening to us in France before, where the dessert order is always taken after the starters and main courses have been eaten. We had intended to stay for breakfast but had one look at the buffet and decided that it certainly wasn't worth the 13 euros being charged. All in all, nice location but we are sure there are better options available in the locality.

Beautiful view of the lake. Comfortable rooms marred by noise from road in front of hotel. Very clean and friendly, multi-tasking staff. Standard demi pension looked dull but chef made every thing delicious. The French were very intensively attacking their holiday activities on the Lake. Superb Atlantic beaches. I think a resort the French would like to keep to then selves!

We have spent another super time here, we have been four times in the last six years. The hotel is in a superb location opposite a tranquil lake but near the surfing beaches too. Great swimming pool and our room had a large private balcony. The hotel is clean and efficiently run with pleasant helpful staff. Our one reservation would be the table arrangements on the terrace when dining. You are allocated a table and there is no flexibility if the one offered does not appeal ( tables on the edge of the terrace are noisier being by the road and less sheltered from wind, generally more exposed) when we visited there were tables left unoccupied all evening but we were not allowed to move. Requests were answered by 'non' - no explanation. Other guests also wanted to move too to unoccupied tables but had the same response. What an unnecessary shame.
