We were in town for a hockey camp. The hotel /convention center was connected to the rink, and we were able to walk through directly to the rink. Overall the staff was very friendly, rooms and common areas were clean. They serve Starbucks in the lobby. However, note that they are not affiliated and don't take the Starbucks app for payment. They had a restaurant on property, as well a lounge. The pool was very small, and the hot tube was hidden and unusable during our stay. The gym was nice sized with a lot of options to complete a well-rounded workout.
The hotel is within walking distance to other bars, coffee shops, and restaurants, which was a major plus.
The only complaint I would have is that the walls and windows are on the thin side. You could hear conversation, knee hockey games, toilet flushing, etc. With that being said, it wasn't a major issue as we weren't in our room often. Every room around us seemed respectful, and things quieted down around 9 or 9:30 pm.
Overall, we would stay there again if in the area.

I was here for a 3 night stay. The room was very nice. The conference rooms were very nice as well.
The restaurant was very pricey......12 ounce rib steak meal for $44 is a bit to expensive. There are a number of places in the downtown area to eat at a much lower price.

Overall this hotel was very nice. The rooms have been a little updated, beds and pillows were very comfy, easy check in/check out, hotel bar very pleasant. However, the breakfast buffet at the restaurant located in the hotel was pretty awful. At $14 per person, we were really disappointed in the quality. The scrambled eggs were rubbery and had no flavor, bacon was slimy, the gravy (for the biscuits and gravy) was brown and had so much pepper we couldn't eat it. The mixed fruit was decent, but other than that, we will go somewhere else for breakfast next time.

This was our second stay in the Muskegon area, and I would never stay here again. When you stay at a Motel 6 you at least know what to expect but at this hotel you get the quality of a roadside motel at the price of a Marriott. At the time of writing, this is the most expensive hotel in Muskegon and is not even close to worth it.
The rooms are uncomfortable with the staff trying to hide cheap mattresses by putting foam pads on the top. The appliances in my room were broken and the sliding glass shower door was so unlevel I had to wedge a washcloth in the jamb to keep if from sliding completely open. The TV had a 3 second delay to even change the channel and the AC is so loud it’ll keep you awake all night.
If you plan on using their business center, I’d say think again. It’s just an uncomfortable table in the middle of their lobby with wooden chairs I swear they grabbed from a middle school cafeteria. Their Wi-Fi isn’t password protected so do what you will with that info.
Finally, they don’t offer a continental breakfast throughout the week, which just feels extraordinarily cheap. They have a paid restaurant in the lobby, but this is the first time I’ve been to a hotel that doesn’t at least offer a cereal bar. Heck, even Super 8’s give you a muffin and a beat up waffle station.
In short, save your money and go somewhere else. For the price the Shoreline Inn is half a mile away and is a far nicer stay for less. I would never stay here again.

Booked a Marriott Rewards stay for a 2-night Lake Michigan get away. Received a luke warm greeting at our 7PM check in, and was told service to room would be limited due to COVID. I asked about dining availability, and was told restaurant was open for dinner only and if I wanted breakfast or lunch that there were plenty of other options in the downtown area. Upon stepping off 8th floor elevator for my room, was hit by the pungent smell of marijuana. My room was near the elevator (against my Marriott member preference on file), and I opened door to room & found it to be clean; however, there were no coffee pods, supplies, cups, or a single glass/cup anywhere in the room, and the smell of weed from the hallway slightly permeated into the room. I went back to the front desk, asked for coffee supplies and cups, and informed the associate that the 8th floor badly smelled of weed, to which she said "We know, we're looking into it. We'll deliver coffee supplies to your room. If you want a glass, ask the restaurant." At this point, I was so disappointed with the lack of service and the high level of apathy and/or poor training, I jumped on Trip Advisor to explore finding another place to stay while my friend and I went to dinner at the lobby restaurant. The restaurant turned out to be the highlight of the stay with excellent food and fantastic service by bartender/server Jessica and her colleague (sorry, didn't catch his name). It was now after 9PM, so we decided to stay one of the 2 booked nights, and we asked if we could take the water glasses to the room. Next day, we found only one cafe open for breakfast about 5 blocks from hotel (Not exactly "plenty of other options" nearby.) At this point, we decided to enjoy the Pere Marquette beach, come back to the room to change, then depart for a new hotel (Harbor House Inn in Grand Haven, which was EXCELLENT by the way). Upon checking out at the Delta after 1 night of my 2 night "reward" reservation, the associate stated "You're checking out a day early?" to which I simply said yes, and she didn't care enough (or wasn't trained well enough) to ask why that might have been the case. I'm a long time Marriott elite member, and as noted, this was a reward stay. As part of the Marriott umbrella, I expected better of this facility. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this hotel, except for the restaurant.

We picked this hotel because it was close to the express ferry. Friendly staff at checkin, at the bar and Walkers/hotel restaurant. Room was clean. Bed was comfy. Great pillows! We thought it was a bit pricey and breakfast is NOT included. We paid 14 dollars each for breakfast buffet at hotel restaurant. It was really good. Lots of selection. Overall we enjoyed this hotel.

The primary reason we booked the Delta was because it has a restaurant. The website informed us NO BREAKFAST, only open from 4 to 11 pm, but we can live with that. When we arrived, the front desk informed us that the restaurant was closed-a last minute decision. Really? I subsequently read a review on their site back about a week ago complaining that the restaurant was closed. This displayed a blatant lie on the part of the "friendly" clerks. They tried to send us off to other less desirable places. Now to the room. Very modern and obviously renovated after changing flags from Holiday Inn, with fluffy towels and huge pillows. When I went to the window to look out I was shocked at the accumulation of dirt, spider webs and who knows what in the window ledge. Disgusting!. They clean the bathroom, but not the windows?? Would not recommend at all!!

I traveled to Muskegon for two weeks for business. Our company got us rooms at the Delta Downtown. The hotel is perfectly located in the middle of downtown Muskegon. There are several local restaurants within walking distance of the hotel (you’d need to drive to get to any nationally recognized restaurants) and a hockey arena is right next door (Muskegon Lumberjacks). Hotel staff were courteous and the facilities were clean. The Delta appears to have been renovated recently so it has a sleek modern look. The pool and hot tub are located in the second floor next to the gym. They keep the room very warm and heavily chlorinated (the smell is very strong). The in-house restaurant and bar is good, and the added bonus they will deliver to your room. Overall, very satisfied with my stay and I will use this hotel again if I come back to Muskegon, for work or fun.

Attended an event here and this hotel is definitely understaffed. The bar and restaurant service at night is slow and orders come out inaccurate. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Pool area outside is unappealing. Staff here use the guest elevators so that slows down service as well. No room service menus in the rooms and hard to access on the interactive tv. For the price I would pass.

No, not 24 hrs. But it does close at 10 and then adult swim from 10-11pm. But also I believe they open the pool really early, like 6am. So it is open for quite awhile.
"The parking lot closest to the doors is very tight. I recommend going down a level or two. Several cars for facility staff and visitors were crunched."
