Detailed Reviews
Located next to a party store and both nights (weekend nights) this has been the creepiest stay I’ve had in a hotel since staying in a dive in LA in the 1980s. Although the king bed I was given was very comfortable, the people in adjacent rooms were terrible and were going from room to room constantly, slamming doors. It felt like the guy across from me was dealing drugs having to leave the room every 10 minutes after taking a call. Tons of outdoor noise from trucks unloading and traffic noise through the old windows and things were dirty that you wouldn’t expect in a hotel cleaning for COVID. The hairs stuck to a sticky hair dryer on the wall were really impressive. Also, the tv didn’t work, so don’t count on that. Brought it up with the desk but no solution offered. Rusted fixtures in the bath because NO fan in that room for ventilation. Really beat looking furniture beyond the bed. I saw some evidence in my room of updates trying to happen, but they seem to be way behind. Stay here if you are bloody desperate but otherwise you’re only sleeping here with good earplugs and sleeping pills. Super skeevy.

This is, indeed, an older building with two floors but here our my pros and cons. Some pros would be that the air conditioning was good, shower/ water was well, and the hotel is close to good restaurants (brunch house), stores, and things to do for your trip. However, the ground felt sticky and dirty, not enough towels for family (so you will need to ask for more), items were missing in the room such as a blow dryer and flatiron, a cord was missing form the tv so we had to get it fixed, is a bit small, and I kept the things that I was worried about people taking with me. Hence my family of 3 stay for 3 night during the 4th of July week and it was liveable and okay. The first night was rough but it gets better.

You have it see it to believe it! This has the most amazingly dirty and worn carpet I have ever seen in a public building. And the drapes have a crazy tie die effect because one layer has deteriorated. Have never seen a place where owner has such fabulous disregard for the appearance of a motel. If you like scary movies, this is the place for you as it gave that ominous feeling at check in at midnight. Slept fine and didn’t get bed bugs. Skipping the breakfast.

Booked through Priceline on a peak summer weekend. Absolutely should have been contacted by personnel not to come, or to not have rented the room out until brought back to habitable conditions. The room was recently flooded and the odor was toxic as the whole carpet inside the room was still wet and rotting. I couldn’t believe it when I walked into the room, of which they had the door open upon arrival still trying to ventilate it, along with a large fan blowing on high in the corner. It clearly wasn’t safe for a person to be in the room at all, let alone hours through the night. Socks and shoes were needed to walk on the carpet. I thought to open the window which made no difference, but left me exposed on the ground floor to the parking lot, of which many people have posted about shady and illegal activity. Luckily, they were willing to allow Priceline to offer a refund due to the extreme circumstances, but still, contacting myself beforehand to rescind the booking, or better yet keeping it off the market until in a habitable state was negligible on their end.

This place is really run down. Dirty, holes in walls and it doesn’t look like they haven’t cleaned the carpet since it was put down. Bedding looked stained/ dirty. Curtains falling off and can’t close all the way. Advice Plan ahead and find a better place. Weekend rate just about doubles in price.

No Breakfast! There was only one outlet available and that was in the bathroom. Other than the hall light and in the bathroom there was only one light that worked. Furniture was old and extremely beat up. The only chair in the room was so low I almost hit my chin when I sat down. I was going to re-book on my way back but quickly changed my mind.

The new owners are very nice. The experience was a little inconsistent. From the outside, the building looks run down and gives a poor first impression. On the inside, the efforts toward renovation are evident. The carpet on the first floor is all new. The walls appear freshly painted. The furnishings however, are older and worn. At first glance our room looked clean enough, but we found hair in the bed and a dirty sock and some toys under the bed. The owner did quickly change our sheets but it makes you wonder...... The bed was soft, but ok with us....The bathroom, while small, was clean but the toiletries were forgotten and we had a room booked for 4 and got only 3 towel sets each day.
Some breakfast items are offered...coffee, packaged Danish, and bananas. Nice enough as we expected nothing. Our room had micro and fridge...something I always appreciate. Fast internet, direct tv. Good AC.
Would I stay here again.....maybe. I have to admit, I expected something nicer, but the other motels in the area are not much different and are more costly than our room with a AAA discount.

We had an extended stay (3 weeks), and found the room very clean, quiet, comfortable- and equipped with a fridge and microwave. The staff were excellent and treated us like family. As an added bonus, the lobby always smelled like fresh linens!
Any problems that arose during our stay were addressed quickly and pleasantly. The location was convenient to food and shopping. We appreciate their hospitality and would certainly stay there again!

I arrived at this Rodeway at about 9:30 pm, having already made reservations for the night. I had chosen this hotel based on the following:
1. Location
2. Price
3. Reviews I had read on Trip Advisor
I found the room to be adequate but nothing special. However, based on the price I did not have extremely high expectations. Mr room was clean, the bed was comfortable. Being tired, I quickly fell asleep.
In the morning I had hoped to watch the news and weather on TV while I dressed, but I quickly discovered that there was no remote control for the TV and I could find no way to turn the set on. I had hoped to report this to the front desk when I left, but there was no one on duty. Since my room was already paid for I left.
Was it worth staying there? If all you are looking for is a place to lay your head to sleep, a quick morning shower and then back on the road, then Yes. But for anything more, I think I would search for a better place to stay.

We booked this property for 1 night on our way to Michigan. When we arrived, the front doors were open and a portable desk was sitting in the entryway. The entire lobby and dining area were under construction but we had not been given any indication that this was taking place. Thank goodness we were only staying for 1 night. The room was dingy, walls had badly patched holes and were spattered with who knows what. We selected the property based on reviews, so we were taken aback at what we found.
